The Callaway Good Good fallout isn’t slowing down, and Episode 396 of the Chasing Daylight Podcast dives straight into one of the biggest conversations currently circulating through the golf industry.
Matt, Joe, Jeremy, and Dan discuss the latest developments surrounding Callaway Golf and Good Good, including reported personnel changes following the controversial campaign and the increasingly divided reaction throughout golf social media. Matt opens the show by emphasizing that although he works for Callaway, the opinions expressed on Chasing Daylight are his own.

One of the bigger questions becomes whether the online reaction represents the golf market as a whole. While Callaway has taken significant criticism across social platforms, the guys discuss how golfers who aren’t constantly following Instagram, TikTok, X, and YouTube may have an entirely different perception of the situation.
The conversation doesn’t stop there.
The guys also react to LIV Golf rumors, including speculation about financial issues and the possibility of players receiving equity as part of a future LIV structure.
Scottie Scheffler’s victory at East Lake brings another debate: has his latest win effectively locked up Player of the Year? The crew also discusses the changes at East Lake and the growing appeal of match-play golf.
Equipment testing gets some attention as well, with a debate over MyGolfSpy’s latest wedge rankings and whether a product can legitimately be called the “best” when several major manufacturers aren’t included in the test.
Closer to home, the guys give an update on Coyote Springs, discuss soaring green fees at Shadow Creek and Wynn Golf Club, break down the Presidents Cup selections, and talk about Team USA’s golf apparel.
Finally, the show turns to YouTube golf and Rams Hill, where the guys discuss how camera angles, editing, and pacing can completely change the way a golf course appears on screen.
It’s another wide-ranging Chasing Daylight conversation about golf, gear, courses, the golf industry, and everything happening around the game.
Callaway Disclaimer & Welcome to Episode 396
Matt 0:20
All right. So this week I’m gonna start the show off by prefacing.
Joe 0:24
What is up, everybody?
Matt 0:26
I I work for Callaway. I do not speak for Callaway. Okay. Oh, did you get creamed? No, no, no, no. I’m I’m trying to prevent getting creamed. I I work for Callaway. My opinion is my own. What I say does not reflect what Callaway thinks or believes. They are their own people.
Jeremy 0:51
Yeah. And what we say doesn’t reflect anything on what Matt thinks.
Joe 0:55
Exactly. Yeah, and what I say doesn’t reflect on what you guys think, or my wife thinks, or my kids think. We are our own people, everybody. Everybody’s their own person.
Dan 1:04
You shouldn’t listen to me because I’m full of shit anyway.
Matt 1:08
I just wanted in case people go, you know, Matt worked for Callaway, and he said this.
Joe 1:15
That must be what Callaway email. Company man, big company man.
Matt 1:22
I am not on the board. I am paid by them to enhance people’s lives.
Joe 1:28
What up, Kev? You’re you’re a big company man. Hey, Kev in the house. What’s a big company man?
Matt 1:33
And I the Joe was he’s out there rage baiting me, right? He’s commenting on these these posts that he knows. And he’s just hoping I respond.
Joe 1:43
I’m not hoping you respond, I’m just showing you what’s out there, you know. You gotta see the world occasionally.
Matt 1:48
Oh no, I see it. I see it all. I see it all. So, how how you fellas doing this evening?
Joe 1:53
Good, good.
Matt 1:54
Everybody good? Yeah, bueno, bueno, bueno Joe played a little bit of golf this weekend.
Joe 1:59
Yeah, surprising, right?
Coyote Springs Weekend & CDP Updates
Matt 2:01
Yeah, that was uh that was great to see. Uh, we were out at Coyote Springs, played uh the the Yoat. Been a while since I’ve been out there. Jeremy and Dan go out there like every weekend. So but it had been a while for him, been a while for Joe. It has to talk about the Yat a little later. It was it was rough experience in the house with us Trace, T Dog T Dog, T Dog Money. All right, so uh first off, I want to thank Garson Golf, Garson Grips, Garson, Garson, Garson, Bernard Garson, the man, the myth, the legend. I’ll be right there. Bada bing bada boom. They are available on the chasing daylight podcast website. It’s chasing daylightpodcast.com. Very simple. You can go right there, you could buy it. I ship it out tomorrow if you buy it tonight. Ship it out tomorrow.
Joe 2:55
Unless a lot of people order, it might take a day.
Matt 2:57
No, no, no. I’m I got my what if like what if what if 40 come through?
Joe 3:02
40 orders come through.
Matt 3:05
Hell yeah.
Jeremy 3:06
Shout out new needs.
Matt 3:09
Yes, it will go out tomorrow. So uh we love Garson. If you’re not playing a Garson grip, give them a try. Give them a try. And uh there’s a a podcast from a few weeks ago with Exchange Golf. Exchange Golf has a partnership with Garson, they are the putter shafts that are interchangeable. You can change the grips on them. You can go to a fat grip, to a skinny grip, you can make a longer putter, you can make shorter putter. Uh, unbelievable fitting tool and a great way for you to experience the different varieties of Garson. They have a pack that you can purchase, you get three uh adapters, three different shafts. It’s it’s a great way for you to give it a try. Um instead of buying three different putter shafts and three grips and spending a thousand dollars. Yeah, pretty good.
Joe 3:55
If you just need the grip, you can also go to garsengolf.com and use code daylight15 at checkout.
Matt 4:00
Daylight15 at checkout.
Joe 4:03
Also, the chasing daylight podcast grips are not available on garsengolf.com, they’re available on chasingdaylightpodcast.com. So the code doesn’t work over there. But if you need garsen at garsengolf.com, daylight 15.
Matt 4:16
Yeah, if you if you’re on YouTube, if you look at our page, there’s a shop link. You can go, they’re on there. You can also go on to the website. I added some new merch items, added a few things this past couple days with some new items on there.
Jeremy 4:28
Uh so I still need to get the DGP stuff to you. But you know, Jeremy. Yeah, it happens at some point at some point.
Matt 4:42
So all right, so some of the things we can talk about this evening. Um, I got a list here of the top five stories that are going on in the golfing world, and we can pick and choose if we want, and there’s some other things we can chat about as well.
Joe 4:53
What are we doing for the giveaway tonight? So these people know what are we gonna do?
Matt 4:57
I don’t know. What do you want to do? What are you feeling, Joe? What do you think?
Joe 5:03
I don’t know. We can give away these FIFA cups. Uh we can give away the sticker, Mikey B. Shout out, Mikey B.
Matt 5:10
Tell you what we’ll do. This is what this is.
Joe 5:12
What are we gonna do?
Matt 5:13
What do you think about this?
Joe 5:14
I think we’re low on the Garson grips down there. We might need to re-up. We got one more. We can give away a Garcan knapsack if you will. There’s two more grips in here. There’s two more. Oh, and one’s a special one.
Matt 5:27
Oh, what’s the special?
Joe 5:29
It’s the mirror grip. Oh, was that? That was uh US Open. No, it’s not US Open. It’s PJ Championship. One of 50, and then there’s a mirror one in here.
Matt 5:42
Oh, snap.
Joe 5:44
So we can do one of those anyway. All you gotta do is is post comment, be here when we pull it at the end of the day. It could change, we might change it. You never know, but you gotta hang out, be here, post the comment.
Matt 5:56
Unless
Tonight’s CDP Pro Shop Giveaway
Matt 5:57

Joe 6:05
Oh, I mean, that’s not bad. Yeah, not bad. I like that. I like that.
Matt 6:11
All right, all right. So that’s what we’ll do. Tonight’s giveaway.
Joe 6:13

Matt 6:14

Joe 6:33
So I like it.
Matt 6:35
$40.
Joe 6:36
Also come in your way.
Matt 6:40
Was that a Barbary Coast? Uh Jerry.
Joe 6:42
No, I wish it was Barbary. Barbary Coast has changed so many times. Now it’s fucking what’s her name?
Matt 6:47
Who knows what it’s called?
Joe 6:48
From uh from whatever that reality show.
Dan 6:52
And then it was now it’s like the Vanderpump thing.
Joe 6:55
Yeah, Vanderpump, Vanderpump, Vanderpump track. Yeah, it was Bill’s Gambling Hall for a minute. Bill, yeah, it was Barbary Coast, Bill’s Gambling Hall, Cromwell. Something, yeah, Cromwell Pump. Shut up Vegas.
Matt 7:09
Yeah, playing playing with this guy on Saturday.
Joe 7:13
Hey, what’s up, Kyle? You starting on the 10th T or what?
Matt 7:17
No.
Joe 7:18
First T, baby. Oh first T. Kyle on 10th. I thought maybe you’re starting on 10.
Jeremy 7:24
Um tea times or shotguns for those?
Matt 7:28
It’s uh shotgun.
Jeremy 7:29
Okay.
Matt 7:30
Shotgun.
LIV Golf Bankruptcy & Equity Rumors
Matt 7:31
Uh live golf. Live golf news. News in the live golf world uh that they’re probably gonna be filing for bankruptcy. And rumors are coming all day. Live 2.0 is going to tell the players if they retain and stay, that they’ll pay them in equity. So here’s a check.
Joe 7:59
We can’t pay you, we can’t pay you now. We can’t pay you now.
Matt 8:03
Here’s a check for 250 million.
Jeremy 8:06
Or or oh, dude, they’re gonna do a dumb and dumber and give them a briefcase full of IOUs. Yeah, brutal.
Dan 8:15
275,000. Might want to hang on to that one. That’s a good one.
Matt 8:19
That’s a good one right there.
Joe 8:20
Yeah, they still owe Rom right there. Equity of nothing is nothing, yeah.
Dan 8:26
For for sure. Supposedly, Rama still owed a hundred million dollars, which is crazy.
Matt 8:32
He ain’t gonna get that in equity, I’ll tell you that much. Hell no.
Joe 8:36
No, it’s dead. It’s dead, it’s dead.
Matt 8:39
Equity of nothing is nothing.
Dan 8:41
Should give him a hundred million dollars worth of gold bars.
Matt 8:44
Teal’s a house.
Dan 8:45
What a deal. Well, Tyler.
Joe 8:49
Yeah, I think it is dead. It’s so dead. So dead.
Matt 8:52
Got the the president’s cup. The final picks were made for that. Um, I’m sure somebody wants to share their opinion on the good, good Callaway Fallout. Um Scotty.
Joe 9:04
Where is the president’s cup this year? I haven’t even noticed.
Matt 9:09
Isn’t it at uh good call?
Dan 9:12
Let me see.
Matt 9:13
Dude, I thought it was like Minnesota, isn’t it?
Dan 9:15
At Minnesota, isn’t that like Medina or some shit up there? No, it’s um Hayes.
Joe 9:23
No, yeah, it’s Medina. It’s Medina. Oh, it’s Chicago. Oh, a little Medina action.
Dan 9:31
Yeah. Did you see the Curtis Cup? They’re practicing at La Hinch right now. That golf course looks unreal.
Joe 9:39
Oh, La Hinch looks sick, yeah. For sure.
Dan 9:41
Dude, I was watching um it was Miles Russell and a couple of, I forgot who he was playing with today, and they showed him play like three or four holes. Man, the scenario looks yeah, unreal.
Joe 9:58
Lahinch, I yeah, I’ve seen sick. I yeah, need to get over there all day.
Matt 10:07
Um, so we got the good, good fallout with Callaway. Some new news came out about that today. I don’t know if you guys saw. Um, then Scotty won at East Lake.
Joe 10:17
Scotty Warren. No surprise.
Dan 10:20
Oh fuck.
Joe 10:21
Where did that come from?
Matt 10:24
Amazing. He’s the only guy that like there’s only two people.
Joe 10:27
He’s a I mean, he’s a good golfer. He’s a pretty good golfer. Supposedly, he’s a pretty good allegedly, allegedly. He’s a damn good golfer. He’s a pretty good golfer. He’s a damn good golfer.
Women’s TGL News
Matt 10:38
And the last bit of news the uh the women’s TGL uh is the team for announced.
Joe 10:44
Saw that shout out Yana. Shout out to no Nelly, no Nelly, Nelly, no Nelly, she’s probably turn it down, probably turn it down. She’s too busy. She’s got a busy life. Yeah.
Matt 10:58
Alright, let me pop this sucker out so I can hang out one second. Open that up in a new window.
Joe 11:05
Holy smokes. Giveaway free $40 to the Chase Daylight Podcast website.
unknown 11:12
Yeah.
Joe 11:16
Kevin’s gonna win it, I guarantee you. Or Greenley. Greenley’s in there. Shout out, Greenley. What a 13 AA.
Matt 11:25
Alright,
Callaway & Good Good Fallout Gets Worse
Matt 11:26
so uh this is the news that came out about the good good stuff. Um, what is it?
Joe 11:32
Yeah.
Matt 11:32
The the VP of brand and marketing for good good stuff.
Joe 11:36
Oh, he’s tweeting late at night. Is that what it is?
Matt 11:38
No, no. That was Matt Kendrick. This is Jeffrey Lefkovit Lefkovitz has been fired. And the Callaway director of content and production, Alec Alex Upegwe, Upegwe, uh, is departing the company. So uh heads are starting to roll.
Joe 11:58
There’s the troll right there.
Matt 12:00
Callaway sucks.
unknown 12:01
Yeah.
Matt 12:02
Okay. So many people are spelling it wrong, it’s hilarious. Callaway. I know the uh front office course reporter uh reports that neither Callaway CEO Chip Brewer nor good good CEO Matt Kendrick saw the ad before it was published, despite Callaway previously acknowledging that somebody within the company approved it.
Joe 12:23
So hmm.
Matt 12:25
And then the the 10 foil hats, the foil hats are out.
Jeremy 12:29
Yeah, hey, they’re going for through a buyback. Big buyback. Gotta get that money from the failed top golf venture.
Joe 12:40
That’s true. I didn’t even think about it. I didn’t even see anything about that. Yeah, dude. They should have never, yeah.
unknown 12:45
Sorry.
Matt 12:46
A lot of people talk about the failed top golf thing, and the thing that yeah, top golf sucks.
Joe 13:03
Yeah, they didn’t get rid of the whole thing, yeah.
Matt 13:05
They didn’t get rid of the whole thing, and they made a killing on it. Yeah, but so they know what they’re doing. They know what they’re doing. It’s big business, and people hate it. But you know what?
Joe 13:15
That’s yeah, sometimes there’s there’s people in suits in a in a level on a floor in an office building, like at least 15 floors above, like making these decisions, and they know what they’re doing. Right? I mean you’d think. What is this? Uh uh. I was talking, chill, bro.
Matt 13:44
Nothing goes past him without with zero exception. They threw these to the curb. They threw them, they threw the guys under the bus. Take the phone.
Joe 14:00
I mean, that’s what it looks like for me. That’s what it looks like to me. Yeah, they threw him under the bus. That’s what that’s how it seems all day. To me. I mean, but they gotta they gotta they approved it. I mean long. Yeah, then keep that mouth closed, Matt. Yeah. So Matt, Matt, it was I’m not gonna go too deep with that, but anyway, shout out Callaway, uh, shout out good, good, shout out uh not Callaway, and shout out not good good. There you go. We’re even even playing both sides.
Matt 14:40
Hey, Mike, I prefaced this beginning of the show. If you missed the opening segment, I let everybody know ahead of time. I am an employee for Callaway, I do not speak for Callaway.
Joe 14:51
So there will be times where I just do you should just you should get a hat made that says, I work for Callaway, but don’t speak for Callaway for the company. I got it. We got embroiderers, we got an embroiderer for you. We want to get one made, one off. Yeah, yeah. So, yeah, the good good hats. Yeah, they pulled them all from the shelves. And I was watching Whatnot the other night. Um, and a lot of the hats were like what going for decent. I really don’t watch good, I don’t watch good, good meaning whatnot. Uh, I don’t watch whatnot very often. Dan watches more than I do currently. He doesn’t buy, I don’t really buy that often anymore, but um I was watching and they were going for retail, you know? Somebody somebody dug into a dumpster, grabbed all those hats, and they’re going for retail, and it’s all profit. Um, but a lot of the consensus that I’ve heard is that they’re they’re gonna come back stronger. I don’t know, maybe who knows?
Matt 15:57
Do they have a lot of support right now? There’s a lot they do have a lot of respect.
Joe 16:01
Yeah, it’s curious. I think pick them up. I think Callaway looks pretty bad in this. I think Callaway looks kind of bad.
Is Social Media Distorting the Controversy?
Matt 16:11
You know, it’s a 50-50 thing for the everybody that thinks Callaway looks bad, the other half thinks Callaway did the right thing. Everybody thinks that good good is in the wrong, the other half thinks good good’s great. It’s it’s such a it’s one of those things.
Joe 16:24
You gotta yeah, time heals all wounds. So, like e lay low, yeah. I mean, if you like I saw some videos of the good good, and they did like an office thing, like an office parody. It was a parody, so it’s like if you go, and then I saw the comment, the comment section on all these fucking posts is crazy, and I don’t want to call out woman of world, but that’s one thing that you can watch, and it’s kind of wild. World of women or whatever.
Dan 16:53
It’s yeah, it is just it’s crazy, it’s just an overreach from all all all aspects. I mean, yeah, yeah. It was I mean, the people nobody who really has any common sense, I feel, was offended. The people who were offended are non-golfers and unfortunately, you know, domestic violence and you know, people who experience that stuff, they have they see that stuff and then say it was oh, it was triggering, it was meant to be, it was this and this and that. None of that is true. None of that was meant to be. None of that was done purposefully. It was done after a freaking stupid movie. It’s just another classic overreach, and it’s just another selective rage fucking thing that at the thank you, Jay, that this fucking world goes through all the time. It’s retarded as shit. Give it two weeks, everybody forget about it, and then things business will be on as as normal.
Matt 17:48
Hey, and and I know Mike says he doesn’t think it’s a 50-50 thing, but I beg to differ because there’s there’s a social media side of it and that’s not 50-50 there. Well, you gotta understand there’s a social media side of it that is getting pounded, right? That’s making Callaway look so bad. But we’re we deal with a different side of the Callaway brand. You know, we’re we deal with fitting and club sales and and that side of it. And that side of it is not like what’s going on on social media. It’s it’s not. It’s we you know, we’ve talked to people and had interactions with with courses, and it’s not what social media is making it out to see out there in the golf space world. You know, you stick to social media, yeah, absolutely. Calloway’s getting raked over the coals, and you know, it’s it’s wild. But you know, golf doesn’t take place only on social media. Golf doesn’t only take place on TikTok and Instagram and and Twitter, it takes place out on a golf course on the greens, on the greens.
Joe 18:56
You gotta go there and hit those greens, you gotta go hit those greens.
Matt 19:03
You know, there there’s people uh there’s people that don’t have social media that golf three days a week, you know, that are on the golf course three, four times a week that don’t have social media and have absolutely no clue what’s going on.
Joe 19:21
None. I will I will say there there is a they I don’t think any like true golfer, like any golfer has a problem with either side or anything about it. I think honestly, I think there’s a lot of people out there like just looking to pick a fight, you know, because I mean just think about it like that shit happened, and then you see all these content creators like, hey, what do you the good good situation giving your opinion? And because it’s so hyped up, like there’s people like gaining exposure because of the situation, and they feed into it, like just like if there’s a new pizza restaurant that’s really good and everybody hears about it, all these people are gonna go over there and film themselves eating pizza, you know, and that’s helps create exposure. So it’s like people hopping on the bandwagon and and laying it on thick to either side, whichever side it is Callaway, good, good, or the women, what whatever you pick you pick what you want to do, but it’s this it’s this instant like feedback, finding your camp through social media, which is fine, right? And and and the difference between creating a like a real community through your content or whatever you do, it’s very different. And it’s like now you’re now you’re confined to this box, and you have to you have to you have to sell that all the time now. Now, say like uh fucking mcdonald’s posts something where some dude smacks a tray out of some girl, like are they gonna still come the same way? Probably because it gives them this exposure, and that’s what people want. People want exposure. So they’re always gonna come out the woodworks and try and find something wrong with things, and I don’t know, that’s the world we live in now, man. But golfers, golfers don’t real golfers are like, eh, not at not really that big of a time.
Dan 21:16
That’s that’s that’s true, Joe. Just to add on to that, like you’re you’re so right. We we live in a time now of of clicks and views. If you have any kind of social media presence, it’s all about clicks and views. Like, you don’t even have to be right anymore. You just gotta be like the first, the first person to to say something. And then you can always go a couple of days later and retract what you said. You know, it’s just like it’s just a matter of like who’s first, who’s gonna say this, uh, how many clicks is this gonna get, and we’ll worry about it later. You know, and the sad thing is it’s like a lot of these people fucking die on this hill. And if you don’t if you don’t agree with their hill they’re dying on, too, because
Joe 22:00
They want that.
Dan 22:01
Yeah, exactly. You know, and and and the thing is too, like, you know, if you don’t agree with them, like you can’t, if you have differing opinions now, you’re this or you’re that. You know, there’s no more agree to disagree. Like, you don’t hear that shit anymore. If you disagree, you’re you’re this, you’re fucking that, you’re this, and you’re that. And like you get these labels, and it’s just it’s maddening, and it’s it’s it’s weird that society is like this now, but it is. That’s that’s where we’re where it’s where we’re at.
Joe 22:27
We we all have different opinions on basically everything in life, you know. Like, I could live on bean and cheese burritos and chicken teriyaki balls, others can’t, but you know, that’s me. Be yourself and and fucking live true to who you are, man. Like, and and people have opinions, and if if you don’t like that, then hey, we’re different, you know. Let’s we can still we can still golf together. We can play golf.
Matt 22:53
I’m not disagreeing with you whatsoever. I’m just saying that there’s another side besides social media that is out there that is that is relevant just because it’s not the number one thing in the world as far as merchandising and advertising goes, doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. And I think a lot of people have forgotten about that and believe that, well, social media says callaway scum, so that that’s it. Callaway scum. Yeah, oh you’re muted, Jay. What’d you say?
Jeremy 23:26
I think it’s 7030 or 80 20.
Matt 23:31
80 20.
Jeremy 23:34
But yeah, I I see what you’re saying. All right, yeah, Mike’s Mike’s right here too.
Joe 23:42
Yeah, it’s weird. You’re both right. Oh no, it definitely hurts, it definitely hurts them for sure. Social media can hurt you. Just think of it like a bad review on Yelp or Google for a restaurant, and restaurant business is very difficult to like sustain, and one bad review could kill you, you know. Yeah, so you’re probably too big of a company.
Dan 24:03
It’s true. One one little mistake, and you can be blackballed, black sheeped, whatever the term it is, whatever term you want to use. It’s it’s weird, it’s weird how just one little slip up and you can be canceled just like that.
Matt 24:17
So fast.
Joe 24:18
Yeah, that’s nuts. That’s nuts. That is that is true, Mike. I was I was meant to bring that up, but we can’t. Yeah, Mike about that.
Dan 24:25
Yeah, yeah, we saw your post. That course looks done.
Joe 24:28
Yeah, it’s not done yet. Not done yet, but it looks crazy.
Dan 24:31
If it’s anything like those red rendering, yeah, it’s gonna be insane.
Joe 24:35
Holy moly.
Jeremy 24:38
Where is it at in Wisconsin?
Joe 24:41
Northwest, or yeah, northwest. Okay-ish. It’s not near, I don’t know. I don’t know. I don’t know whiskey very well, but I think it’s like adjacent to the like if whistling streets is the east, that would be on the west side.
Dan 24:59
Oh, Michael probably chime right in right now.
Joe 25:02
Okay, I didn’t realize it was that 30 minutes from Sand Valley. There he goes. Okay, that’s not bad.
Dan 25:06
Hell yeah.
Joe 25:07
Hey, Beach Girl, hello, friends. Is that Jim Nance? Beach girl’s Jim Nance.
Dan 25:13
Yeah, no, I think that’s Colleen. I think I know. I’m kidding. Is that her? That’s her, right? Beach girl.
Joe 25:21
Oh, it’s hey, lower score of golf in there.
Matt 25:25
All right, Jeff, you’re gonna have to invite us out one after it opens. Let’s go. Yeah, come by.
Joe 25:31
I that property looks insane. Yeah, I mean, it looks gamble sandsy, like little St. Georgie, like in the sand hills of Wisconsin. Like I saw that and I was like, holy wow. There’s so many properties that are being exposed now. What is it? It’s called White Hills, White Plains. What is that?
Matt 25:56
Oh, let’s go. We can do a state tour.
Dan 25:58
Yeah, dude, hell yeah, there’s so much good golf in Wisconsin, it’s ridiculous.
Joe 26:02
There’s too many. No such thing as also this guy right here, too. This guy’s this guy’s showing up for Wisconsin golf. This guy’s on it right here. Who is that? It’s uh North Point Golf. He’s on Wisconsin golf. This guy knows this guy’s out there doing his thing, man. North Point Golf.
Matt 26:25
North Point Golf.
Joe 26:28
It’s White White Hall, White Hall Sands. Holy smokes, looks incredible.
Matt 26:34
White Hall Sands.
Joe 26:37
Yeah, Whitehall Sands. There it is. Check him out.
Matt 26:41
I got a good topic, Turner. Oh yeah. Ron’s talking about the Betty White. Oh, yeah.
Joe 26:48
Yeah, there you go. Yeah. Shout out the Ron. The Ron.
unknown 26:53
Yeah.
Joe 26:54
Unfortunately, it was just years too late. Yeah.
unknown 26:58
Yeah.
Joe 26:59
Might as well, might as well have been the 50s back then.
unknown 27:01
Yeah.
Joe 27:02
All the nipple slips, too. Like Janet Jackson with that star nipple thing, like in just in two minutes. I forgot about that, Joe.
Dan 27:09
Thanks for bringing that back up. I forgot about that. Yeah.
unknown 27:11
Yeah.
Matt 27:12
I mean, so many on CDP right now. Janet Jackson’s nipple.
Joe 27:18
Watch the bids, watch the bids.
Matt 27:19
All
MyGolfSpy’s 2026 Wedge Rankings
Matt 27:20
right. Uh, something I didn’t talk about though just popped in my head. How about the my golf spy?
Joe 27:28
Oh, yes.
Matt 27:29
And I know everybody in this chat liked that are the best wedges of 2022.
Dan 27:37
Half of their rankings are horse shit anyway.
Joe 27:39
Oh man. And people live and die by that shit, too, man. And I know Matt’s the biggest fan of my golf spy. He’s a big fan.
unknown 27:48
Yeah.
Joe 27:49
Huge fan. Number one if you’re in the chat. Did you guys see the my uh golf spy uh rankings for the wedges? And do you believe it? Would you buy your wedge based on that? Curious.
Matt 28:08
I mean, I’m very, I’m very happy New Level was up there. And they’re getting a lot of public. Shout out New Level. We love the guys at New Level.
Joe 28:17
Um but I mean Kurtland wedge, yeah.
Jeremy 28:26
They lost me at the when they did their golf ball one a few years ago that was an absolute dumpster fire, they completely lost me.
Joe 28:33
Yeah.
unknown 28:33
Yeah.
Joe 28:34
Well, I mean, I know I sent this picture to you guys, and this is it said, uh, people do not pay for this, which I’ve I’ve heard on the contrary, from rep reputable sources. So I don’t know. Is caught did Costco write a check? Do you think Costco wrote a check to tie with tie with Vokey?
Matt 28:57
No, no, I don’t think Costco gives it.
Joe 28:59
I don’t think I don’t think they care, but I think they gave two shits.
Jeremy 29:03
You know what? Maybe they did because they stopped selling callaway wedges. They needed to replace that revenue.
Matt 29:10
Yeah. Maybe you never know.
Joe 29:13
Coach Porch says, uh, buy no, but it might uh have me trying something I wasn’t initially interested in, which is great. I mean, and and they they do do a good job with bringing brands that people aren’t familiar with, like new level, like a lot of people don’t know new level, so like they do a good job with that.
Matt 29:35
But but hear me, how about this? Do you say it’s the best wedge of 2026 when not all the wedge brands weren’t even in the testing?
Joe 29:46
Do you think they left out Callaway because of the situation that’s happening?
Matt 29:50
These were these were done months ago, unless they took them off.
Joe 29:53
They just posted today, they just posted it today.
Matt 29:56
They would have, I believe, if they want to maintain their integrity, is if they actually tested Callaway and then decided not to put it in, that would be a huge conflict. And I’m sure testers would say, I hit it, why isn’t it in the thing?
Jeremy 30:11
And that’s that’s just a but what was their reasoning for not having them? Did they is it just they don’t have the new model? I I don’t know, just don’t understand why that wouldn’t be in there. I wouldn’t be a big three brand, you know.
Joe 30:24
I wouldn’t be surprised if they left it out because of the controversy. Holy smokes! Well, like this, uncovering diamonds out here, they want to keep their followers.
Matt 30:35
King’s not in a controversy.
Joe 30:37
Just just imagine if if Callaway was the best performing wedge, and they said Callaway was the best performing wedge. How much hate would they get if it was the best performing wedge?
Matt 30:50
If it if it’s stats like they say, backed up, why why would the hate come? Because they’re because there’s people out there.
Joe 30:59
It’s not, yeah. There’s people out there hating on it because it’s Callaway. Oh that’s interesting, very interesting.
Matt 31:07
But it it that would make sense if like all the other brands were, but they weren’t, so that kind of throws that out.
Dan 31:15
Did you guys see just to what um just to touch on this good good shit one more time? Um, the drivers on on eBay, they’re going for almost a thousand dollars. Yeah, and then people are stocking up, people are stuck, and then and then the good good uh Callaway balls are a hundred dollars or like a hundred dollars a dozen. It’s like fuck man, fucking pipe.
Jeremy 31:37
All the plants, all part of the plan.
Joe 31:40
Oh, we got some jewels. Shout out the jewels, two jewels silver star.
Matt 31:46
Hey, no idea what that means.
Joe 31:49
Yeah, that shit is weird. What is that? We’re getting jewels, bro. Run the jewels, run the jewels. RTJ.
Matt 31:56
Hey, you spelled it.
Joe 31:58
Yeah, there it is. Payment to troll, guys. He wants to rile you up. He wants to rile me up. He wants to think they need to save money. That’s what he does.
Dan 32:09
Austin, you don’t rile me up, bro. I expect that from you.
Matt 32:12
I’m trying to trade my good good whatnot account. Uh I’m thinking about stamping that on my wedges. Don’t touch my wedge.
Scottie Scheffler Wins East Lake
Matt 32:27
All right, Scotty, East Lake. East Lake wasn’t the leader after 54 holes. Victor Hoblin was. Everybody else kind of played a golf course that wasn’t the same a couple days before. Conditions changed, firm, fast, and Scotty just took over. Um, so last week, Dan, you said Wyndham locked for player of the year. Does that change after Scotty Wendy’s later?
Dan 32:54
Yeah, I think it could change now, for sure. Um, that is a Smith and a that is a that is a huge win. Um, yeah, I definitely spoke a little early on that. But um yeah, I think now that’s probably gotta go to Scotty.
Matt 33:10
Yeah, Jeremy? Joe doesn’t watch golf anymore. I didn’t watch it.
Joe 33:15
I watch a lot of Minecraft and uh like Nostia. So yeah. I didn’t watch East Lake, I saw highlights on my phone.
Matt 33:25
The generations that they’ve made at East Lake are pretty sick. Sick.
Dan 33:31
Yeah, sick.
Matt 33:32
I mean that that 17th hole was impressive. It was stunning.
Jeremy 33:38
Yeah, that place is amazing.
Joe 33:40
Well, they might not be there for he might not, they might not be there for very long.
Matt 33:45
But the no, I just don’t know if it’s I’m pretty sure it’s the 20. Is the 27 gonna be there? And then 28. 2020.
Joe 33:52
I think it’s 2020 is the match play. It’s crazy I did I did I did see a post about um some guy, I meant to send it to you guys, and then the kids, whatever, um, but talking about bandon for match play over two weeks, like and people in the comments like uh bandon’s not they don’t have you know the infrastructure and all this. They don’t, they don’t have the infrastructure, and then I saw people complaining about like they would eat it up, but eating it up doesn’t have anything to do with match play, which is why that enables them to go to courses where they can make birdies, eagles, you know, like match play makes it even better, exactly.
Dan 34:34
I think I think they would eat it up if it was Bandiego. The minute they’re getting rain and 40 mile an hour winds coming off that coming off that ocean like that, that nobody’s tearing nothing up.
Joe 34:44
Yeah, absolutely. But they’d be going this time. So what is it, September 1st? It’s gonna be primo weather, but yeah, yeah. But that’s the thing, like and and people complaining about like oh, they would go, they would shoot fucking 20 under with 30 under, like that doesn’t matter during match play, and that’s why this whole switch makes it even better because hey, I birdie, you got a birdie because score is irrelevant, you know. Yep, so what’s up, Todd?
Dan 35:15
Thanks for coming in, brother.
Matt 35:19

Joe 37:05
No, is Greenman gonna be here in 23 days?
Dan 37:08
Yeah, he’s coming.
Matt 37:09
He’s not bringing his golf clubs, he doesn’t want to play golf. No, he’s dead to me.
Joe 37:14
He’s not a big golfer.
Dan 37:16
Seven national. Let’s go. Todd, I love national. Too bad, too bad it’s uh kind of in shit shape right now, but we love national.
Joe 37:24
Yeah, it’s great, classic, legendary, historical. Such a good that’s a lot of that’s a thing with a lot of the courses currently is like a lot of them are looking great. Must be like the the summer. The summer just beat the shit out of these golf courses.
Matt 37:39
Good
What’s Going On at Coyote Springs?
Matt 37:40
segue into the the shape of coyote springs joke. Well done. Well done.
Joe 37:45
That’s what I’m here for, man. That’s why they have that’s why I get the big bucks.
Matt 37:49
I was the and Jeremy Dan said that it was exactly pretty much the same as when you guys played it, so you kind of understand. Was the range that way too, Dan? When you guys were there, it was bad.
Dan 38:00
Patchy crab grass and shit in there.
Joe 38:03
Weeds have never seen the range at Coyote that far up.
Matt 38:07
That far up, and that beat up. I mean, it was dirt.
Joe 38:12
It was mud dirt.
Matt 38:14
Yeah, it was it was borderline mud. I kept throwing dirt all over Dan’s back.
Dan 38:20
Yeah, yeah. The first couple, the first couple of rain shots, I could just feel mud just pelting the back of my neck. It’s like, all right, all right, that’s enough.
Matt 38:30
I mean, I’m I’m there’s the that flowering weed that grows along the ground that’s got the little tiny blossoms on it, that shit that’s everywhere all over the valley.
Dan 38:38
Don’t smoke it.
Matt 38:39
Like I was hitting off of that because it was better than the ground that where the grass was. It’s just that was pretty. Yeah, it’s pretty weird.
Jeremy 38:49
It’s not normally like that. In the summer, I mean you get dry conditions, but it was so hot for so long that they just it just cooked the grass.
Matt 38:59
There’s so many areas that just I’ve never seen that poor out there. I mean, it’s it’s bad.
Jeremy 39:06
It’s the greens were good, but they still the greens were fantastic. Yeah, the greens were great.
Matt 39:11
Yeah, the greens were absolutely fantastic. I no issues there whatsoever, but it was like, I mean, even some of the tea boxes were pretty torn up, um, and just areas of the course that you’re not used to seeing in bad shape was like I was surprised. I was surprised.
Joe 39:27
I think for this time of year though, it’s still it’s still worth it because you’re gonna get that at other locations too, you know what I mean? Like, and you’re paying half half of what a tea time, maybe two-thirds of what a tea time would be other elsewhere. I mean, I know we were trying to play Stallion Mountain, uh, haven’t been there in a long time, heard it’s in really good shape, but I mean, it’s it’s summer and it’s almost overseed season, also. So that shit’s gonna turn around real quick in the in the month in the next month or two.
Shadow Creek & Wynn Golf Prices
Dan 40:03
Um, hang on. Some discussion today on sad socials about shadows being the top 20 US course. They’re not they’re not in the top 20 anymore.
Matt 40:16
I haven’t seen that.
Dan 40:17
Yeah, I didn’t see that.
Matt 40:19
The the money is just killing that far as rankings go, in my opinion.
Dan 40:23
Did you guys hear who was it you, Matt, that was telling me about the rates going up? Yeah, rates going up again. Shadow, yeah, again, yeah, and a lot of courses are going up. Wins going up.
Joe 40:34
Everything’s everything’s going up, everything.
Dan 40:37
Yeah, yeah. Matt said what? Supposedly shadows going to 1500. What the that’s and when wins going to 800? A thousand, a thousand, yeah.
Joe 40:48
It wins at 750, I think. So yeah, a thousand would be.
Dan 40:51
I’m never gonna play the win. I’m never gonna pay that much to go play there.
Joe 40:55
No, hey, Aspen Simmons. There you go. Shut out, Aspen Simmons. You’re probably a troll, but there you go.
Jeremy 41:03
1750 at least coming this year at Shadows.
Joe 41:06
What the dude?
Jeremy 41:07
That I’m dude, I’m glad we all we’ve all played it. When you add everything up at that point, it’s gonna be three grand. Yeah, your hotel with your tips, with your food, with your merch.
Dan 41:19
Yeah, yeah.
Jeremy 41:20
Three grand for around daddy.
Dan 41:22
It’s it’s it’s literally just a rich man’s golf course. It’s all it is. It’s all it is. It’s a whales golf course. You come in and you drop all this fucking money in our casinos, and you get to play our sick golf course. Everybody else, go fuck yourself. Tell it.
Matt 41:37
Yeah, I still think it’s a top 20 course just because it’s so it’s sick, yeah. So amazing, lawless. But the valve, the the price is just gonna kill that. I mean, when you can go play a place like Bandon, Band Valley, Piners, yeah.
Joe 41:53
You could do a full golf trip, like a full ass golf trip for that. I I mean it’s an experience, right? It’s it’s this guy’s for the elite.
Matt 42:04
Post that Eric Greenley comment.
Joe 42:08
What is he saying? I’m not playing golf in three weeks because Bali fucking high is 400.
Matt 42:13
Yeah, you guys know it because Julian and I have zero contacts, zero. We we can’t we can’t get you out anywhere.
Dan 42:20
Eric, you don’t want to play there anyway. Yeah, you don’t want to play there anyways. You don’t want to play there, you don’t want to play 16 of the same holes, bro.
Joe 42:29
Yeah, no, yeah. Well, I mean, at least there’s there’s at least five out there that are not the same, but the rest are the same.
Matt 42:37
Hey, Jesse had a gross exaggeration, but yeah. Did you did you hit that one, Joe? I’m letting you do it all. Which one?
Joe 42:44
I’m trying. Uh we got we got pelted. We got pelted. Which one are you talking about?
Dan 42:51
Aspen says thank you on 14. Was he the one that was stallion?
Matt 42:55
Give me a shout out. No, it was up a little bit further. Shout out, Aspen.
Joe 43:00
Jesse.
Matt 43:04
I need to go do it.
Joe 43:05
Yeah, do it. Because I we were getting pelted. I was trying, I was trying. Why do I have echo tonight? I have it too.
Dan 43:14
I’m I didn’t want to say anything about it, but yeah, I got it.
Joe 43:17
Dude, dude, right here. Okay. I said Jesse, and you said I’ll do it. Okay.
Matt 43:23
Uh, I’m wondering if now that they are getting that huge billion settlement, if they would walk away from the course.
Dan 43:30
Who’s getting a billion dollar settlement?
Matt 43:32
Are you talking about the coyote, Jesse? Is that who you were referring that to? Belly High Range is so elite. Yeah, yeah. And Reflection Bay is uh right at the end.
Dan 43:48
Los Prados might lose shout out, Prados.
Matt 43:51
They enhance theirs, it’s better now.
Joe 43:53
But is it really coyote? Yeah, Jesse said coyote.
Matt 43:57
Coyote, yeah. I I would hope.
Jeremy 44:00
They’re getting a billion dollars. It’s because of that whole thing with the state or county, I think.
Matt 44:05
Yeah, it’s that’s a lawsuit that’s going on for a while.
Jeremy 44:07
I don’t think going for years.
Dan 44:09
Well, damn. Well, I mean, I remember the lawsuit, but I didn’t I didn’t know they were getting a settlement for a billion dollars. I thought it was just they just won the water rights. That’s what I thought, too.
Joe 44:19
Yeah, haven’t you know what I find very interesting? That’s a lot of money. That’s a lot of backs. That’s a lot of greenbacks. That’s a lot of cash. That’s a lot of scrilla. That’s a lot of gouda. I did uh it is funny to me when you take that drive to Coyote and you you make that turn on that, and then there’s a city of North Las Vegas water tower right there. It’s like are we still in North Las Vegas? Or are they just trying to claim the water?
Matt 44:51
And they won. Holy crap, I’m gonna have to look into that now.
Jeremy 44:55
That’s why they’ve been testing out grasses out there on the way to the range. I saw that, yeah. There’s been lots of trucks and tractors out there.
Joe 45:05
Maybe that’s why it’s uh rough in some areas.
Matt 45:11
I don’t know. We’ll it’ll be interesting. I I hope all the courses that are in rough shape come back.
Joe 45:18
They’ll be back, they’ll be back. Uh national um shout out gray water, yeah.
Matt 45:27
Shout out the the Las Vegas Golf Course Watering System, aka Gray Water, shout out Las Vegas water reclamation.
Joe 45:36
My most favorite bill to pay every year or every quarter.
Matt 45:41
All
Presidents Cup Picks
Matt 45:42
right, so we got Scotty player of the year, probably Calib. Good, good. Do you see any Balmetto? Shut up, Palmetto. Does anybody show of hands in the chat? Uh, does anybody care about the President’s Cup? I like the President’s Cup.
Joe 45:59
I like it.
Matt 46:00
I mean I mean it’s golf, so I love watching it. I love it.
Jeremy 46:03
I like it when they play Royal Melbourne.
Joe 46:05
Yeah, Royal Melbourne was good.
Matt 46:08
Yep. No.
Joe 46:10
When no, when Tiger did the no look, uh no, yeah, all the way. He hit it and then he just turned around. Yeah, Abe answer. It’s like thanks for coming back. That clip that clip just destroys you.
Matt 46:20
That’s the best when they’re changing it too, and it turned from a like an eight-footer to a 25-footer.
Joe 46:28
That clip is so good.
Matt 46:29
That’s so funny. So we got one no. Is anybody does anybody else care?
Jeremy 46:33
I mean, it’s easy to leave a comment, just definitely don’t get as excited about it as the rider cup, but it’s still yeah, it’s still good to watch, mostly for the courses.
Dan 46:42
Yeah, just because it’s in the offseason and it’s something exciting, yeah, exactly. You know, to watch. Yeah. I mean, it’s no rider cup, but it’s no, it’s definitely not rider cup. It’s still fun. It’s still formats you don’t get to see often. Every two years you get to see it, whether it’s President’s Cup or Ryder Cup.
Matt 46:59
So it says Jackson Quaven is the big talking point. Brant Snedeker made his six U.S. captain picks Tuesday. Chris Godderub, Xander Shoffley, Jackson Quaven, Justin Thomas, Patrick Cantley, and Jacob Bridgeman. They joined Scotty Sheffler, Cam Young, Linda Clark, Sam Burns, Russell Henley, and Colin Marakawa. Jackson Quiven, who has only one PJ tour victory, is currently 66 in the world. Meanwhile, Ryan Gerard, Ben Griffin were left off despite Gerard finishing solo third at East Lake and being much higher qualification. Discussion, JJ Spawn, blah blah blah. Was another notable mission after withdrawing from East Lake. Uh played five holes, won $355,000. So congrats to him for that.
Dan 47:44
Yeah, but he’s hurt though, isn’t he?
Matt 47:46
Yeah. Uh also completed his international team selecting Corey Connors, Nico Ichervera, Song J M, Ryo Hitsatsune, Nick Taylor, and Christian Bzadenu.
Joe 47:59
I I I mean, I I I you know I think it’s really cool that that the internationals get to play because the Ryder Cup, you know, they can’t. So we get to see some of those players. If if the international team becomes more relevant or better playing and can beat the US more, I think it would make it more interesting. Um, but I do think they pick good courses for President’s Cup, you know? Because even I make the mistake. Like when we’ve had podcasts where we’re talking about Ryder Cup teams, and I’m like, oh, get Wakan Namon, you know, and it doesn’t work, you know what I mean?
Dan 48:41
So can we talk about though how the President’s Cup, how Team USA’s shirts and pants are always way sicker than the fucking Ryder Cup, right? Yeah, whoever picks USA colored or USA clothes for Ryder Cup is fucking whack. That guy sucks.
Matt 48:57
They’re so bad.
Dan 48:59
They are bad. They literally, yeah, it’s the fucking worst. They look like absolute clowns.
Jeremy 49:04
Have they showed what their outfits are this year? For presidents or not yet? I haven’t seen them. If the internationals will be Maulbon, there’s so many Maul Bond players on the team. That would be interesting.
Dan 49:16
Yeah.
Joe 49:19
Yeah. I I don’t know, but yeah, the Ryder Cup, the Ryder Cup outfit situation is terrible. It really is pretty bad.
Team USA Golf Apparel Debate
Matt 49:27
This year’s President’s Cup, Team USA is being outfitted by B Drati with zero restriction handling the technical outerwear.
Joe 49:35
B Drati. Ooh, zero restriction coming out of the city.
Dan 49:38
Didn’t Jay Linderberg have the Ryder Cup, like European company? Have the US team? Yeah, they did. Ryder Cup shirts.
Matt 49:46
Yeah, it says B Dratty is supplying the polo, sweaters, vests, crew necks, and Q zips, while zero restriction is supplying the wind gear and waterproof rain suits.
Joe 49:55
Yeah, Mike’s got it right here. Ryder cup is historically Ralph Loren. I mean, Ralph Loren Polo was cool in the 90s. Need to do some different stuff. But Jerry. Might as well wear Tommy Hilfiger, you know?
Jeremy 50:13
Yeah, Tommy Hilfiger is perfect.
Joe 50:16
Or Nautica, maybe. Nautica.
Matt 50:24
Goodness.
Dan 50:26
Yeah. Should bring back the old school like Ashworth shit. You know, now that like Malbon’s like the bit the baggy oversized stuff.
Joe 50:36
Ashworth moms come back and be like though.
Dan 50:39
Check my shit.
Joe 50:40
Yeah, but not like that. You don’t see hardly anybody on tour with Ash Ash uh Ashworth. Well, that’s interesting because like, yeah, Malbon is basically Ashworth.
Dan 50:49
Yeah, pretty much.
Joe 50:50
That’s in yeah, I didn’t even think about that. Like Ashworth with like different styles and designs, but same IP, yes.
Dan 51:00
You know what kind of fell off the planet too? Link soul. Remember Linksol? They had some nice shit. You don’t hardly ever see new Linksol stuff anymore.
Joe 51:08
Well, that’s because John Ashworth is working on Ashworth now, probably. Because John Ashworth is supposed to be behind Linksol, probably. Gotcha. I mean, I love Linksol, but yeah, they have some good shit.
Matt 51:21
Yeah, I wore a pair of their shot. I since with with the weight loss going on, I uh I found a pair that I had tucked away in a drawer for uh when I lose weight stuff that fit now and wore them the other day. Good stuff.
Joe 51:35
Dress them like paints to it. Hell yeah, Ron. Hell yeah. That would be amazing. Hell yeah.
Dan 51:40
Knickers knickers are the way to go, bro.
Matt 51:44
You’re some red, white, and blue knickers with some stars and striped socks. Careful how you say that.
Dan 51:53
You rolled that one. Whatever you had, whatever you had, whatever you’re whatever you had in your mouth. Yeah. Whatever you had in your mouth, that came out funny.
Jeremy 52:05
Wasn’t Payne Stewart sponsored by the NFL? He had an NFL on it.
Dan 52:09
Yeah, whatever city that event was, right? He had that team’s colors on usually. Dolphins wine. Shut up, Payne Stewart. Fucking legend.
Jeremy 52:17
Yeah, shut up, Payne. Rip, rip, rip. And I remember when he died. That was a sad day.
Dan 52:22
Um that was shortly after I moved here to Vegas. Oh, really? I was here like two weeks. Because wasn’t the it was like Father’s Day, yeah, in um U.S. Open, right? And then he died. He died what two months later.
Matt 52:36
Yeah, that was great. Someone says Palmetto says that was great when Payne Stewart died.
Joe 52:40
I think he’s no, yeah. Yeah, I’m not gonna post that one. NFL gear. He’s talking about the NFL gear.
Matt 52:51
NFL gear amazing.
Joe 52:53
Wasn’t um um say Palmetto’s from the Carolinas. Um even though Payne Stewart’s not from the Carolinas, but famous Cam Young.
Dan 53:04
Didn’t he have an MLB sponsorship? Him and still have it.
Jeremy 53:08
There’s another guy that had a MLB. Hey, Beach Girl, new member, uh Peter Molinari Malnotti, or what’s his name? Not Molinari. Malnotti, Peter.
Dan 53:21
Oh, shout out CC, new member. Thank you. Thank you so much. Thank you.
Matt 53:26
Appreciate it.
Jeremy 53:29
Shout out, Beds. Oh, shout out beds. Yeah, we uh we dropped that one real quick.
Dan 53:36
Crash and crash in South Dakota, yeah, that’s right. Shout out beds. Beds crashing it lately.
Jeremy 53:42
Some builds check out beds builds.
Dan 53:44
Go check out beds builds, get you a golf locker. If you’re here in the chat and you’re on and you’re on whatnot, you need to get some beds builds in your background.
Joe 53:53
Yes, yeah, yeah.
Dan 53:54
Shout out, beds.
Joe 53:56
Shout out beds. Uh oh, yes, he still has mb. Let’s go. Yes, he still has mlb. His dad is buddies with Manfred. Yeah, exactly. From Sleepy Hollow. I think this is what Kevin Cox said.
Dan 54:12
What a life. I mean, you got hook up at Sleepy Hollow up at Sleepy Hollow. Connected with the MLB. What the hell, bro? What a life. Fucking Cam Young. Jealous of you.
Matt 54:24
Sleepy Hollow looks amazing. He was sending me pictures. Unbelievable.
Joe 54:29
Ron says, Imagine Payne Stewart with a Jim Furick swing. That’s too much. No, that would be a little too much.
Dan 54:37
Payne Stewart swing was just too cleany boys. Silk fucking boxers all the way through.
Jeremy 54:43
I remember seeing a video with him in the one of those early like launch monitors, and it’s like a massive supercomputer. Oh, yeah. You see me? Yeah. Yeah.
Matt 54:53
Yeah. It’s like a giant ice machine next to you. The hitting spot.
Joe 55:00
The most obvious comment on knickers right here, because I’ve seen this this dude in Knickers right here. Uh-oh. Oh no, no, no. Here you go. No, no, this one right here. Oh, I’ve seen Robin Knickers as well. Knickers in the most comfortable golf attire to golf in. No joke. I’ve seen him in them, so yeah.
Matt 55:18
Proud of him for wearing those.
Joe 55:20
Yeah. All right. We go Greenley. How about this trivia? Sleeve of left dot pro v1 balls to the winner. Where was Payne Stewart headed when the plane accident happened?
Dan 55:35
West. No. He was going east. I think he was going to Texas.
Joe 55:40
Southeast.
Dan 55:41
I think he was going to Texas. Or probably Dallas, if it’s Eric.
Joe 55:44
Oh, yeah, it’s Dallas. Yes. Yeah.
Matt 55:46
He was headed west.
Dan 55:50
He’s going to Montana. Yeah, maybe I’m wrong though, because he crashed in South Dakota. That’s a long way from Texas. But when you lose cabin pressure and nobody is there, I imagine that plane can probably go anywhere.
Joe 55:59
What’s the answer? Yeah, tell us the answer. Unless somebody can pick it. Uh we’re like Surfshack in the house. Shout out to Surfshack. Follow him on too.
Matt 56:10
Sorry, Joe’s on the comments, so I saw that a while ago. I’m sorry. Selectively decided not to put that up there.
Joe 56:16
Which one?
Dan 56:16
What is it? Which one are you talking about? Not a good enough answer. Dan is the closest. Uh-oh.
Matt 56:23
Dan is the closest. Hey, Teresa. Thank you.
Dan 56:30
Do I get golf balls?
Joe 56:32
Hey, Teresa, a new member. She’s also got her assignment from the military. She’s coming to Vegas. She’s moving to Vegas. She’s kind of being Las Vegas.
Matt 56:42
Right.
Joe 56:43
Dallas. Shout out to Vegas.
Matt 56:46
Are you gonna you ever gonna throw that up there?
Joe 56:49
Which one? What are you talking about? I’m dude. They’re they’re all coming through. Which one?
Matt 56:53
Read the comments.
Joe 56:54
I’m reading the comments. Co-host with the co-host one? No, you want the knickers only one? This one right here. Texas forever one.
Matt 57:02
Oh, I just throw it up there.
Joe 57:04
Dallas. Yes. Which one are you talking about? Go ahead, do it.
Matt 57:08
That one.
Dan 57:10
Okay, can have someone answer my question from Furry Creek question earlier. I just wanted to know if anyone plays trying to no, I never played Furry Creek.
Joe 57:20
That was way back there. Yeah.
Matt 57:23
Where’s Furry Creek at? Yeah, where is Furry Creek at?
Joe 57:34
They’re coming. These comments are coming in fast and furious tonight. Rip Paul Walker. You know what I mean? Yeah, 24.
unknown 57:42
24.
Dan 57:43
Furry Creeks in Canada. Well, a furry creek anyway.
Matt 57:49
That’s a furry crack.
Joe 57:50
Also, guys, if if you just jumped in, we’re gonna give away a $40 gift card to the Chase and Daylight Podcast Pro Shop tonight. Um that’s where the that’s where the Chase and Daylight Podcast grips are.
Matt 58:06
You are not, you are very accurate.
Joe 58:08
Well, you can grab one of those, you can grab a Chase Daylight Podcast t-shirt, hoodie, hat.
Matt 58:14
Just put a q zip on there today.
Joe 58:17
Oh, and a q zip. Um, but even if you don’t win, you can still go to the Chase and Daylight Podcast Pro shop, grab yourself one. Um, but also it is always shout out Garson, use code daylight 15 at checkoutgarsongolf.com. But that’s what we’re gonna give away tonight. All you gotta do is leave a comment and be here when we pull it. Yes, and it’s we’re coming up on the out, we’re coming up on an hour, so it’s probably gonna happen pretty soon. So hey, share the show, get in the givea.
Matt 58:46
Scheduled an after show tonight. Oh damn, it’s been like three months. Feeling froggy, feeling froggy. I titled it The Truth Comes Out Behind the Paywall.
Joe 59:01
Hell yeah. Uh uh a whole hour. We’re always here an hour, Teresa. At least an hour, at least an hour. I think last week was like an hour and 20 minutes. Yeah, we’ve had a few long ones.
Matt 59:18
Yeah, we’ve we’ve had well, the Greenley one was a day and a half. That was a long episode.
Joe 59:22
Yeah, that was like two and a half.
Dan 59:24
You can never be canceled, Austin. You can’t you can’t cancel people who have too much support, brother.
Joe 59:32
Just don’t tackle anyone out there. You’re uh you’re getting too lit off that carb list. You Austin’s gonna get too lit on the car bless one day, and he’s gonna just run someone over in a tractor.
Dan 59:43
Yep, he’s gonna have 25 lemonade vodkas and just go nuts.
Jeremy 59:51
Oh, that’s right, Kevin. YGT Rams Hill. It’s great, and it made me want to go there so bad. Uh to get to Rams Hill.
Joe 1:00:00
I would love to go back, I would love to do that house on the hill thing.
YouTube Golf at Rams Hill
Matt 1:00:04
So I watched uh yesterday and today, I watched the episode. Um, I was excited because I most recently had played Rams Hill, personal best, one under. Thank you very much.
Joe 1:00:15
And it was debatable.
Matt 1:00:19
Okay, much better. It was much better. It was they well, they changed the format, they got to the golf a little bit. It still took a little while, but it you know, it eventually got to the golf. Um, I could deal with the 15 minutes on the range talking about nothing.
Jeremy 1:00:35
Yeah, just skip that part, just skip that part.
Matt 1:00:38
But it was weird seeing Rams Hill from that perspective because you know, uh when you play it, you’re on the T looking at the hole, and you hit your ball down the fairway and you see it land, and then you drive to it, then you hit it towards the green. No, you don’t your vision doesn’t change to where you’re looking back at the ball coming towards you, or you’re because I’m like, where the hell is that camera at on that hole? And I’m like, okay, now I know where the camera’s at. I’m like, it was just it was kind of weird seeing it that way. I mean, I liked it because you got to see a little bit of the golf course, but it was a little bit confusing.
Joe 1:01:11
That’s coming down anyway.
Matt 1:01:13
Um, but yeah, it was it was cool to see it. It was, I mean, it was fun. I can’t wait. The the back nine has some really good holes on it, so I can’t wait to see the second part.
Joe 1:01:23
Yeah, I’m I’m oh look at this. Uh surprised Matt likes Rams Hill. All the greens are punch bowls. Would you say Theo, would you say it’s gimmicky? Oh no, I don’t think all the they said that’s if you’re a listener, you know what we’re talking about.
Matt 1:01:43
They said that all that it was all punch balls.
Joe 1:01:48
It’s it’s very fuzzy, it’s very fuzzy. Yeah, it’s fuzzy.
Matt 1:01:53
But I don’t think every green is a punch bowl that gets the ball that goes closer to the hole because there’s some grains that if you’re in the wrong spot, you’re fucked.
Dan 1:02:02
You’ve played oh, yeah, you’ve played there recently, didn’t you, Matt?
Joe 1:02:05
Yeah, yeah, he was there recently. It’s been it’s been it’s been probably four. No, Theo is one or two, so it’s been four or five years since I’ve been out there.
Jeremy 1:02:16
Yeah. Um have you played it?
Dan 1:02:19
I have no, I haven’t played Rams Hill.
Matt 1:02:21
Oh, we’re going on his birthday.
Joe 1:02:23
Yeah, we need to. Yeah, I would love to do that house on the hill thing.
Dan 1:02:27
Be in the middle NFR on my birthday.
Joe 1:02:30
Also, I mean, speaking of Rams Hill, damn it, dude. Speaking of work. Speaking of Rams Hill, uh, you guys know Colt, Colt Nedler. He used to film early days, Eric Anders Lang. Stick, played Min Ams. Anyway, he popped up on whatnot the other night. Uh, Mike, you know, Mike McDonnell, who lost he lost all the video footage from Legends Never Die into like a random ass, you know. Anyway, uh, he uh he was doing a show, and a lot of like a lot of the Instagram guys were on there, like Ube Wolf was in his show. Rams Hill Will is on whatnot, which is very interesting. Shout out Rams Hill, but I saw him on there and was like, damn, Will’s here? That’s crazy. But yeah, I would love to go play um Rams Hill again. Yeah, I mean, well, now after YGT, I mean, please probably explode quite a bit. Yeah, it’s gonna be kind of hard to get on, I’m assuming.
Matt 1:03:36
I don’t know. It it doesn’t, it’s not it’s not looking spectacular on TV because they are playing in summer, so the the course isn’t as green as it I’m sure it could be in the cooler temps.
Joe 1:03:50
Well, they’re also closed during the summer too, so they I mean no, they’re not anymore. They’re not anymore.
Matt 1:03:56
No, when do you think I played? Middle of summer.
Joe 1:04:02
Interesting.
Matt 1:04:03
Yeah, $90 golf. They didn’t close it all, though. No.
Dan 1:04:08
What’s the thing to get there after the round? Cookies or tacos or some shit?
Joe 1:04:12
The peach Matt didn’t get at all. No, it’s not peach, apple, or apple, apple, apple.
Matt 1:04:17
No, I think mine was peach.
Joe 1:04:19
Oh great. They’ve changed the whole thing. I must not peach apples. Gotta go back, gotta go back. It was a it was a nectarine.
Matt 1:04:25
The cookie was good. I didn’t get the tacos. That’s what I was upset about.
Joe 1:04:28
Yeah, the the tacos they maybe changed it. It’s been a while. I mean, like I said, it’s been five or six years.
Matt 1:04:34
You don’t listen to anything I say ever.
Dan 1:04:38
No, not at all.
Matt 1:04:39
He doesn’t, he gives two shits.
Dan 1:04:41
He doesn’t read he doesn’t read your emails either.
Matt 1:04:44
I’m focused on his invoices.
Joe 1:04:46
No, I have too many, I have too many emails. Too many emails. It’s gonna get worse, too. It’s gonna get worse because work is about to be crazy. Yeah, I know you didn’t have the tacos, I know that, but um you remember why?
Matt 1:05:01
Because they don’t do it during summer, which answers your other question.
Dan 1:05:06
Summer, summer, closing summer. No summer tacos, that doesn’t sound right. Yeah, yeah, right. I don’t know.
Joe 1:05:12
We’re gonna, I’m gonna have to hit up Rams Hill well and tell them switch it up.
Matt 1:05:18
Rob Rob with the comment of the night. Jesse said they ripped up the grass about three years ago so they could remain open in the summer. There it is, right? Conditions worse in the winter. Interesting.
Joe 1:05:30
That is the comment of the night, right there. Shout out, Rob.
Dan 1:05:34
Man had an unattested 71, and of course that’s closed in the summer.
Matt 1:05:40
I snuck on the property.
Joe 1:05:44
They did, Jesse. Yeah, they did rip up all the grass uh a few years ago. Do they have cabins out there, right? That’s right. They they have houses, yeah. That’s not where the cabins, but well, I think it was supposed to be like a whole community. ‘Cause there’s cul-de-sac and shit, but yeah.
Matt 1:06:02
I it’s there’s people that live out there on the golf course. There’s homes, there’s some nice homes too.
Joe 1:06:08
And there’s nothing around that place.
Matt 1:06:11
I was I was so bummed because I saw the turnhouse. I’m like, oh, and from the tenth tea box, you just or then yeah, the tenth tea box, you just take the little dirt road, and so I pull up and I’m all excited, and they’re like, Yeah, no tacos during summer. It’s fucking lame.
Joe 1:06:26
Well, there’s also there’s no chowder at um where um Caledonia during the winter. So, or is it what did we play winter? I can’t remember. That was a bummer. It was January. Yeah, all right. Let’s let’s do that. Seems like the best time to have chowder.
Dan 1:06:41
Let’s 30 36 degrees.
Joe 1:06:45
No chowder.
Dan 1:06:47
We’re out there playing Mike Strance gems in 36 degree weather, frozen.
Joe 1:06:51
Yeah, it was awesome. It wasn’t that bad that day.
Dan 1:06:54
It wasn’t that good, it was that day. It wasn’t that bad.
Joe 1:06:57
It was beautiful. South Carolina. Shout out Mike Strants. Shout out Mike Strants.
