Dan is away getting his reggae on in Mexico, so the crew calls up a heavy hitter from the bullpen: Mike from Beautiful Golf Courses joins Matt, Joe, and Jeremy for a packed episode.

The guys dive immediately into the biggest news in golf: Brooks Koepka is officially back on the PGA Tour. We break down the strategic timing, the specific parameters that allowed his return (and seemingly excluded Phil Mickelson), and what this means for Bryson DeChambeau, Cam Smith, and the future sustainability of LIV Golf.

Later, the conversation shifts to “Experiential Golf.” Mike and the guys discuss why difficult-to-reach courses like Landman, Dismal River, and Gamble Sands are worth the journey. We debate if the hype is real, the logistics of booking tee times, and why the “hang” is just as important as the golf.

IN THIS EPISODE, WE COVER:

  • The Return of Brooks: Analyzing Brooks’ statement, the financial penalties, and why the PGA Tour needs Bryson back next.
  • LIV Golf Status: Is the league on the verge of folding, or will it evolve into something else?.
  • Game Time: Matt hosts a round of “LIV Golfer or Southern Nevada Amateur?”.
  • Matt’s Road to Recovery: Matt announces his official date for total knee replacement surgery and his goal to be ready for the team trip to Landman.
  • Scotty Cameron Pilgrimage: Jeremy recaps his first-ever trip to the Scotty Cameron Gallery in Encinitas and the process of buying a Circle T.
  • Wisconsin Lore: A strange detour into Green Bay fandom, cheese, and Wisconsin’s surprisingly dark true crime history.
  • Course Reviews: Thoughts on Coyote Springs (and the Bob Does Sports episode), Prairie Club, and Sand Valley.

MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODE:

  • Vegas Golf Network: The season is starting soon! Visit VegasGolfNetwork.com to sign up.
  • New Merch: Check out the new “Evolution” mug and T-shirts on the website.
  • Precision Pro: Coming soon to the show.

YOUTUBE VERSION OF THIS EPISODE:

Well what is up, everybody? Welcome. Welcome, welcome to another episode of the Chasing Daylight Podcast. Joe is here tonight, Jeremy’s here tonight. Dan is getting his reggae on in Mexico. So we uh you know went to the pinch. Yep. Called in called in the the the pinch hitter. Mike, beautiful golf courses joining us this evening. How are you doing tonight, sir?

Always happy to be here. Appreciate you guys having me. I am always ready to jop in if someone’s not here. It’s blasting.

The call to the pen, you’ve been stellar. Stellar. We love having you.

Yeah, he he’s he’s he’s the pinch hitter. Like he is the standby, and he’s always here. Shout out, Mike.

Always, always ready to go. So how how’s the the great white north treating you right now?

Oh actually, today it was close to 50 degrees here. It was fantastic. So all the snow melted, and now it’s just mushy outside. But uh, I think next week it’s gonna be below zero again. So looking forward to it.

So Matt’s already asking what is he gonna enter and win tonight, not win tonight. This is it right here. This is our new chasing daylight evolution mug. It’s got all the logos from when we very first started.

Early days, early days two weeks worth of logos.

This is like this is like really old. That was really old. Y’all don’t remember the uh the rat farts, yeah. That was like that was like on there. When yeah, so some good stuff on here. It’s our evolution mug. It is available on the website right now.

Back when Matt wanted to change the logo every four days, it was like every six.

It was it wasn’t that awesome. It is pretty cool. You know, you you find something, you like it, you don’t like it two days later, you know. It happens, yeah. Uh, so uh I want to give some love. Payment failed, uh, actually bought one of our t-shirts. So thank you very much. And if any of you would have actually done that, you would have found out that I forgot to add shipping and tax, so he got it at cost, which was pretty freaking nice. Yeah.

Um, I mean, honestly, huge supporters.

So I’m I’m I’m glad fixed that right away. And uh yeah, so it’s it’s correct on the website now. That’s you’re damn right. He wasn’t gonna say shit.

Um you know he’s flipping that.

Oh no, I don’t know what to be able to get it for, but you know, by all means, go for it. Uh so yeah, that has been remedied, and there is some some new merch on the Chasing Daylight Pro Shop page.

We’re gonna work on getting some of the Chasing Daylight stuff to run as well.

I’m not gonna say the word yet, but we’re gonna work on that at some point.

What’s the word that you’re not gonna say yet? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, you can see.

I’m going for uh yeah, I’m gonna go try and go for a record. We’ll see. Well I set the over-under at seven minutes.

Yeah, there you go. There you go. But there seems to be a hand signal for it now.

So I mean, that’s technically that’s Wu Tang, I think, but I mean that’s West Coast, so but yeah, you know what I mean.

Yes. So if you want to support the show, thank you very much for doing so. There’s other ways you can support the show as well. We have a premium subscription called CDP Premium, and that gets you access to our after shows and future episodes that we are not gonna release to the masses. We have a couple in the works uh that are gonna take place. We’ve got a great episode coming up next week, and um, it’s this one will be available to the masses. Uh, Callaway’s release day is this Friday. So this Friday, you’re gonna get inundated with tons of Callaway and stories, and and you name it, you’re gonna see a lot of Callaway quantum all over the place. And uh, so I have all the stuff, all the new stuff. I have it here at the house, and I will be displaying it and talking about it.

I almost called you after work today, and I was gonna be like, I know you got it, and I almost I was almost gonna come by for a quick minute to see it. I know you got it wrong.

So yeah, it’s uh it’s really good. It’s really good. We were at Summit this past weekend, and what we were seeing, it was impressive. It was impressive, and yeah, you know, you say that every year, but what last year with the Elite, it was a lot of forgiveness and keeping the ball on the fairway. And this year it’s gone to just speed ball speed, bombs away, ball speed and bombs away. So uh the the new line is good. We saw some absolutely incredible, and we were outdoors at Summit. One Friday we were inside because it was you know 35 and 40 mile an hour winds outside was nasty. Uh Saturday we were on the range, and one thing that Julian and I absolutely love about Summit is they have real range balls, they’re real golf balls on there. Absolutely, and so you get to actually see what is really happening, and man, it was impressive what we saw. So I think there’s gonna be a lot of happy people, a lot of happy people. Not that the other drivers aren’t great as well, just you know, go go enjoy it. There’s so much new shit going on.

Yeah, a lot of new shit. Also, go get fit. If we’re gonna get a new one, go get fit.

Yeah, uh, and then let’s see, uh, a couple weeks after that, we’re gonna have uh one of the guys from Precision Pro on. Uh, they’re going, they’re at the the PGA show and uh they’re gonna come on and talk about Precision Pro’s new product line. We have some rangefinders they’re sending us to to check out, and so we’ll be talking about that and all about the PGA show that’s taking place.

Yep. Shout out Precision Pro. Coming on soon.

Yep, coming on soon. So if uh anybody has taken the opportunity to join our Chasing Daylight Clubhouse over on Facebook, their private group, uh, started posting some stuff there, trying to get some you know feedback from people. Uh groups apparently on Facebook are the way to go. So I’m trying to make an engagement-friendly atmosphere for everyone. If you’re a Facebook person and you use Facebook a lot, I know there’s still a lot of you out there that do. Uh, please check out that page because uh I want to get the conversations going over there because it’s a lot of fun when actually people get into it. Stop yapping.

Okay. Hootie Golfstein, bro. All right, there we get so much trolls when we go live, man. It’s oh I know. It’s funny.

Uh also, uh, these people right here. Let’s give some love to Garson Golf. Uh, if you don’t know, Garson is a sponsor of ours, and we have a discount code that you can use online and uh you know get yourself a discount.

Yeah, use code daylight15 at checkout. Try Garson. All right, figure out the feel, try different grips, figure it out, makes great stuff. We rep Garson on our putters, but you got to try different things to find what works for you. So might as well get 15% off a checkout at Garson by using code daylight15.

A great way to get yourself a Garson.

There we go. Jordi uses them. I played with Jordy recently and he loves them. Uh, I’ve I’ve gotten a lot of feedback recently from all the shows, and I’ve only seen one re-ran. I’ve only seen one re-ran on a different show. Um yeah, I love them. I’ve heard great feedback, which is awesome, which we fully believe in the company, and we’ll never sell you anything that we don’t fully believe in. So shout out, Garson. Code Daylight 15 at checkout. Save yourself some money. Very easy.

They have different models, different models for everyone. Not everyone likes the same grip. There’s a different model for everyone.

Jeremy, you’re too serious. I’m way too serious. That’s fucking good.

You’re TOC seriously. I’m security, remember?

Uh-huh. You should see when Dan’s here and not talking.

Yeah.

Oh, yeah.

Yeah, 100%. Sometimes I feel like Dan’s screen is frozen. Yeah, absolutely.

It’s just like so the the big news this past weekend in golf is Brooks Kapka back on the PGA tour.

Bruce Bruce, you still here? Bruce Bruce asked me if we’re gonna talk about this, and I said, Of course we are.

Of course, of course we are. It’s the biggest news in golf right now. That’s not Tiger not playing TGL. I was watching TGL tonight, it was kind of entertaining. Uh, there I I didn’t realize last week because I’ve been watching the screen and watching the ball, but down at the bottom, they actually do have some data points. And it was nice seeing ball speed and launch numbers from you know the club that they’re hitting. So uh my bad for not realizing that that was on there, and I watched more of that than the actual golf that was going on.

I mean, even before we get into that, right? And also, shot a payment failed. He could have Scotty Grip to put a Garcinon on. Let’s go.

Good job.

Um we got the old uh golf channel logo back, and it’s gonna be interesting to see Brooksy playing with the OG golf channel logo.

I I liked it. Yeah, it looks it looks good. Yeah, it looks good.

I love it.

I don’t like there. There’s not a I don’t know. There used to be what was it, golf tonight or golf now or whatever. I don’t remember what they had a show where it was just like sports center, but for golf. Golf central.

Golf center.

Yeah, and that’s I don’t see that on anymore, so I don’t know what’s going on because I was like, oh, be a great place to get oh, let’s hear what Brandle’s got to say about Brooks coming back. Haven’t seen any of that yet.

So yeah, it’s gonna be interesting. I think it’s gonna be a good year, but Brooks is coming back, massive news. Massive news. I what did what did you find out what his first tournament was? I saw it. He’s playing the farmers, yeah.

Farmers, yeah, farmers and waste management.

Do you think he’s gonna be rusty for it or what? What’s that? You think he’s gonna be like a rusty boy, or is he gonna just like come?

It’ll be fine.

I think he’s gonna he’ll come back ready. I mean, he’s a he’s a professional.

I think you would think some of the undertones, you know what I mean? Well, yeah, exactly. That’s what he always kind of carries a chip on his shoulder. But some of the uh under the undertones of who they’re letting back and the the caveats to all of it, I thought is pretty interesting. Yeah, yeah. Did you did you notice the year that they said you have to win a major in and who won a major the year before?

Phil.

Phil. Yeah, that was very targeted.

Oh, very, very targeted. Hey, let’s make this, but we don’t want Phil. What we should do. Oh, we just don’t include that year. Oh, okay, yeah, that works.

Yeah, I mean, he was kind of the ringleader back when Norman was really pushing for this.

Yep.

And uh, you know, it’s kind of a lazy take, but you know, good for good for Brooks. He went and got a bag of money and now he’s back basically like it never happened. I mean, I feel bad for the players that didn’t take any money, but I mean, good for him. Now he’s back. I mean, the PGA tour almost had to let him back in. Yeah, the guys won how many majors? I mean, yeah, he’s and now it’s a huge story, it’s gonna bring them a bunch of attention. Absolutely.

And by giving by doing this uh the ability to come back by if you’ve won a major within the last three years, four years, uh, you know, that basically puts Rom, uh, Cam Smith, and Bryson and Bryson uh on the clock to say, hey, you either can come back now and we forget this should ever happen, or you’re a sellout again and staying for the money. Um, so it’s it’s kind of a no-lose situation for the PGA tour because when these guys come back, they’re gonna be created like heroes, like, welcome back, welcome back, we’re so glad you’re back.

Welcome back, welcome back.

It’s just yeah, yeah.

Yeah, it seems very strategic. I mean, there’s a lot of criticism about 100%, yeah.

I mean, if you take those players away from Liv, then it’s I mean, the writing’s on the wall with Liv already, I think. I think they’re they’re out of money, and yeah, they’re it’s done. I mean, I think the the wallet that was serving them isn’t seeing a huge return that was promised, right? I mean, no, yeah. I mean, they got so much money they can blow, but at some point, at some point you’re getting into millions of dollars, someone’s gonna be like, What am I donating to here? You know, yeah.

Okay, you gotta stop this, right? So here I was the go ahead, Jeremy.

Sorry, what was the whole thing about Pat Perez? I know he was there was something about him too wanting to go to champion, but he has a suspension, or I did see something about that.

I don’t know what’s going on.

It kind of dropped off. I once Brooks was announced, it just went under yeah.

I went to the bottom of the Google search for Live.

I thought he was gonna do like announcing. I thought he was gonna go to what I thought. Yeah, yeah. He’d probably do fairly well on the champions tour.

I mean, those guys are yeah, he’d probably kill it. Yep. I I mean I I think it’s super strategic, right? Like they PGA Tour wants Bryson. That’s what they need. They need Bryson. Brooks is a huge I mean, he’s huge as well, but Bryson is the needle at the moment with the YouTube golf and everything, and with Bryson, uh, you know, which he stated a few weeks back where it was like we’re still figuring out the contract situation. I think PGA Tour is doing everything they possibly can to get Bryson back on the PGA because he’s the needle at the moment.

Is he not?

Is YouTube viewership needle, the viewership needle, yeah. He’s the viewership needle. Brooks will be great, but he’s Bryson is the needle.

Yeah, Bryson, though, the PGA Tour has never let them have their YouTube channels and everything like that. And I think he cares more about YouTube than coming back to PGA Tour. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Yeah.

So if they don’t budge on that, then I don’t think he’ll come back.

No, I think he’s gonna get a billion-dollar contract and be the first billion-dollar contract golfer to stay there and and he’ll just ride out the sunset in the desert on a camel.

Yeah, I mean, Bryson doesn’t have a like a family where he’s gotta be close to home or anything like that. He’ll take a huge contract and probably just do YouTube golf in the offseason or the off weeks.

So this was uh uh Brooks’ statement when, or this was a comment that I I found on Brooks joining Live Golf. He said, uh, you’re not doing a month on the road anymore. You know, life goes on, even though when we’re not playing golf, so being away from home for a month, I don’t have any kids that I know about. So being at home is not really a thing for me, but life goes on, and like there’s some things we miss at home, being friends, family, a lot of birthdays. I would just it would just be nice to be home a little bit more. Yeah. He also said uh when he was worried about his ability to participate in future majors, you play around the world, you’ll be just fine, you’ll get in them. I made a decision, I’m happy with it. Whatever comes of it, I’ll live with it. So that was back in 2022, I think that was. 23, 22, 23, 23, 24, 25, yeah, 23. That was wild. Yeah, this was his statement uh today or yesterday came out. Uh, I want to thank my family and and team for their continued support throughout every step of my professional career. When I was a child, I always dreamed about competing on the PGA tour, and I’m just as excited today to announce that I’m returning to the PGA tour. Being closer to home and spending more time with my family makes this opportunity especially meaningful to me. I believe in where the PGA tour is headed with the new leadership, new investors, and equity program that gives players a meaningful ownership stake. I also understand there’s financial penalties associated with this decision, and I accept those. Finally, I want to thank the fans. Your support means more to me today than ever before. And I look forward to seeing you soon at the farmer’s insurance and waste management.

Here’s the thing: this is one of the reasons they gave to go to live. That’s what blows my mind. They’re like, we don’t have to play every week, so we’re gonna go, we’re gonna play, and you know, we only got to play 14 events or whatever it was instead of playing 46 or I can’t remember.

Yeah, but when you’re playing in Singapore or not days, you’re eating days, like uh you’re you know, yeah.

I mean, I I’m not sure there’s a good thing they could say for a reason they’re coming back. I mean, if if if they were honest and said like live is is sub subpar competition and it’s going under, then they’re being honest. But there’s there’s nothing else they can say.

Could you imagine if he goes, Look, I went for the money, and I’m like, hey, I’m going because I’m gonna get to play some golf and I’m gonna get paid, but it’s awful.

Yeah, it’s awful. So Kyle brings up they’re not eligible for the equity bonus, though, right? But it’s only like two years, it’s only two years, and that’s you know it’s nothing. They already have a bunch of money in it, right?

Five million dollars for him is nothing to spend to him. Like he’s gonna be.

I think Brooks signed what for a hundred million to go to live. I mean, five million and then something like that. It was estimated that the player equity funds. So he’s still he’s still up forty-five million for two years. Like, I’ll take that all day, you know what I mean.

Yeah, and it’s not like he put it in a safe in his house, that’s making him money. So he’s yeah, he’s gonna be fine.

Yeah, he’s okay. They’re gonna he’s gonna be okay. Plus, he’s amazing.

He’s gonna be and and he’s back playing on the PGA tour. So all the people that were upset that he left are now gonna be happy, and you know, you got another great player in field events, and that’s another thing, too. They said the events that he’s in, they’re gonna add another spot to make it even if they need to, so it’s not like he’s taking spots away from people, which is a concern that people had. So just glad we’re getting the players, we need more players back.

Yeah, what about a guy like Joaquin Neiman?

Ah, I wish Joaquin, Joaquin is the one that should be coming back, you know.

Unlike most of the guys that went to live, I feel like his game got a lot better. I mean, he was a good player when he went there. Well, 100% grinding, he’s been playing everywhere. He’s a stud. He, I mean, he won, I think he won more tournaments last year than anyone else on on the live tour. I mean, John Rahm’s winning percentage was better. Um, and I think he won maybe as many, but Neiman was as good as anyone on that tour.

Yeah.

And it’s unfortunate for him because he didn’t have a major. And I think you could win the players too, right? That was the other caveat. It’s a major or the players in the past. What two years or something?

The the yeah, a major or the players.

But I mean, he would be a top 25 guy on the PGA, I think. He’s he’s good. Oh, yeah.

He’s very good.

Oh, yeah, absolutely. Yeah.

There was a there was quite a few people I was very surprised to see leave and go to live. And Cam Smith was like my biggest point. I I did not after winning the open at St. Andrews, like I did not see that coming. Um, Joaquin, but uh um Mito Pereira, shitty swing, killed his career on one swing at Southern Hills, fucking duffed it, little short little cutter butter to the water. That’s the guy that re-read the stairway. Yeah, he retired and then Justin Thomas wins, and he’s gone. He ain’t coming back, he’s done with golf loser. Um, but Joaquin Neiman, I would love I would love to see uh come back to the PGA tour because he definitely has upped his game. And I was I’m kind of surprised that they didn’t try and fit him into the parameters to come back.

That would have made everybody though, because he doesn’t have parameters.

I know, but maybe that maybe it’s gonna be like a little one-on-one deal, you know, because Joaquin is I always love Joaquin, man.

That dude, that dude be like that’s gonna be looking at the edge of a table like this, looking for salt. He’s like on the edge of the table. Salt, is there salt there?

You know what I mean? That’s a little band’s like he is backgummed to it, dude.

Gumby boys. I mean, is this it though? Like, this is the one chance for these very few players to get back on tour, and everyone else on live can never play on the PGA tour again. Is that is that how this works? Well, they’ll just have to evolve. Yeah, that’s what I mean. It’s gotta be a it’s gotta be an evolving thing.

Um Well, I mean, if they if Bryson Rom and Cam Smith leave Live.

It’s it’s the Asian tour.

It’s gonna fold. Yeah, it’s gonna fold. It there’s there there would be nothing there to sustain it. Not that there’s much there now, but there would not be anything there to sustain it. Doesn’t matter if you go on TNT, ESPN, ABC at two o’clock in the afternoon, just people are not watching it. It’s not it’s not it’s not good, and it’s not even live anymore. You know, it’s it’s they’re they’ve gone to 72 holes. The the shotgun start is gonna get scrapped next. And yeah, the team, team aspect may go away too. It’s I mean, that’s what Bryson’s biggest thing is is the team play. That’s why he said he left because he wants he loves the team aspect.

I I mean I enjoy the team aspect of it, it’s just not done, it’s not done. It’s not done well. Yeah, I agree. That’s the problem, you know. Team golf is great. I love team golf, it’s just not done well. It’s it’s hard to watch.

And um last time I watched it, it’s been a long time. I couldn’t even like it took me five minutes to just figure out the scoreboard they had up.

And every time it changes, it takes you five more minutes to figure out what’s happening, you know. It’s like it’s not yeah. Love team golf, but it just and especially with the European announcers, nothing against the Europeans or anything like that. But it there, I don’t enjoy listening to them as much as the American announcers and the pylon situation, and people are moving, and you can’t see where people are on the course because everyone’s on at the same time, it’s just too confusing. It just it doesn’t work.

Do you want it? Do you want to take a good nap on the weekend? Throw some DP World Tour DP World Tour is a great nap, 100%. Gone, yeah, gone.

And I’m curious. I mean, if this thing completely flips, right? Like if the big guys come, what happens with Faraday too? Probably just retires, but like Ferdy, Faraday was a great, he was a great, he was great, yeah. And he went over there and you know, like I think Brooks has the potential to like seal his legacy, right? You know what I mean?

This is a giveaway, folks.

He won five, what was it, five majors in three years? Like he was he was on a he was on a heater, and maybe since he did that, he’s trying, he understands what’s happening, he’s gonna he’s trying to seal his legacy because he knows took the bag, and then you know what I mean. This is the truth right here.

And the team names sound like youth soccer teams, yeah.

And the logos suck, and the logos are trash, except four aces has the best logo. Yeah, all of them are other trash, trash.

Yeah, and and Brooks never wore. Never wore who that what was he on? Smash? Is that what he was on? I have no fucking idea, but that sounds right. Anybody know?

Mike, you know, I I think he I think isn’t uh DeShambo on Smash? No, he’s on Crushers. I know I know some other some other ridiculous superlative.

Yes, exactly.

On the blasters.

The super swingers.

Yeah, look at Bruce giving you a little circle tea hat. Shout out. We’ll talk about that soon, Bruce.

Yeah. Um but hey, why we got why we got Live Brain.

Live Brain.

Live Brain.

I put together a fun a fun little game for you guys.

I know the answers to these because I did it, so I will not participate.

We got the uh Gutchers, the winning and the losers.

So what I did is I put together a list of players that were participating in the live qualification event that took place over the weekend.

Juju, what uh Saru.

Juju, what’s happening, brother? So I put together a list of those players that participated, and I took five names, and then I also took five names from the winter classic the SNGA hosted at Cascada. Okay, wow the SNGA is now Nevada Golf, but at the time it was the SNGA. So I put together some little graphics here. You guys can tell me. Uh boom. Live golf or southern Nevada Golf Association.

What do you mean? Richard Lee’s Live.

Richard Lee, Jeremy says live.

Wait, where are these graphics? I’m not seeing them.

Oh, you can’t see it?

It’s up there.

So what is the question? Who runs who runs what? Is that what you’re saying?

Is this a live from Live who’s on SNGA?

SNGA. Oh, okay. One player on here is from Liv, one player is from the SNGA. Who is who?

Tell me when they’re up because I’m not seeing anything. Jeremy, you said Richard Lee plays on where?

Liv. That’s my guess.

I’m gonna roll with Jeremy. Mike just wrote. What’s the other one? It’s a lot of things.

Richard Lee’s on Liv. There we go. Let’s roll together.

Oh congratulations. Well done.

Jeremy knows a lot about Liv Golf. Big Live guy. Big Live guy. Waiting for his contract.

Here we go. The next group. Oh, now I can tell Travis B. Travis Smith is live.

Travis Smith is Liv.

Yeah. Travis Smith is Liv.

Yep.

Is that what you guys say in? Yes. Alright.

He wanted us to be wrong so bad.

I’ve seen that name. I’ve seen that name on the pile.

We call him Smythe.

I always think Smythe.

Tough way to smell Smith. Garrett Kiefer, Oliver Becker.

Oliver Becker. Oliver Becker’s Live.

Wow, you guys are impressive.

I watched seven months ago. It was the last time I watched the Live thing. Alright.

Bjorn Hellgram. Bjorn Hellgram. Bjorn.

Bjorn. Yep. Bjorn. Yeah. My guess is there’s not a lot of Bjorns in Las Vegas.

Well, that’s why I mixed it up with your Arturo.

He’s Mexican. La raza all day for sure. Vegas.

Last one. Jerry Leddinsky, Christopher Wood. I’m thinking Ledzinski.

Ludzinski is, I think. I’m gonna go Christopher Wood. Jeremy.

Oh, he’s a big fan, guys. Jerry Ladzinski. That’s a retired guy from like Boston that moved to Vegas in like the 70s. Jeremy be paying for the app. Jeremy every episode closet live.

He’s one of those paid moles that are on uh Instagram pumping live. Yep. Jared Jared’s already got his bag from Live.

I didn’t know you had it in you.

Jeremy infiltrated the CDP pod. Jeremy bought the live NFT years ago.

Yep. Yep. Yeah, Payment. I made a typo. Come on. I saw it. I didn’t point it out.

Well, well, it what what happened with AK? Anthony Kim this past. Oh, how about him lapping the field?

He won by 12 shots. Fuck yeah, dude. Shout out to Anthony Kim, dude. I wish he could get back on the PGA tour. That guy was an urban legend for like 20 years. I would love to see it. He was gonna be the next Tiger Woods, and then he got hurt and took out that insurance thing.

Right. But honestly, he he got the invite to live. He played, he sucked, and he’s been grinding. If you guys follow him on Instagram, he’s been grinding, he’s trying to get back, which is a good story, too. Absolutely great story. Like, imagine him just being like just grinding and just becoming like great again. And PGH tour is like, because he has doesn’t he have like a medical exemption to come back to the PGH tour? Something like that.

Well, that’s that’s not a thing. So the medical thing that he had was he got hurt, and before he got hurt, uh, he took out an insurance policy where if he was ever deemed or if he was ever injured to the point where he couldn’t perform as well on tour, then he could cash in the insurance policy, but he could never play golf again because right cashing it in and you’re saying you can’t play anymore. Yeah, um, and then I think the only reason he came back to live is because they offered the company. The money was too big and he could pay the he could pay the insurance company back and play again.

Yeah, so it’d be really curious if he grinds super hard, because I mean, honestly, like just talent embedded in him, right? Like it was a you don’t lose those hands, exactly, and and maybe he just took too much time away from the game. But like, could you imagine like him coming back to PGA Tour? Like, because he was the next Tiger Woods, you know.

Yeah, he absolutely was.

I could see I could see Liv just fucking crumbling, you know. If it would depending on the storyline that that we get in the next couple years, like live could be gone.

I mean, I could see Liv folding within two years, yeah. I mean, they’re gonna there’s already questions as to how they’re gonna pay their players again, right? People are leaving. Um, you know, they’re they can’t rely on you know 55-year-old Phil Mickelson or however no, no, yeah.

No, he’s some of the bigger names didn’t even qualify to continue. So I think Kevin Na, I saw he was out, he was an original. Kevin Jones, Matt Jones, Matt Jones, yeah.

Kevin Na’s from Vegas, isn’t he?

Lives here, he lives here from Korea, but um, I yeah, I could see, and and those are the guys that are like, hey, cash my paycheck and get up in it, you know. Like I they’re set for life, you know. Oh so whatever, you know. But uh, I think Phil Mickelson just caught his bag. He was getting older and he’s he’s done. He does like Phil Mickelson on the champions tour would have been great, and it would have built the champions tour.

Was great, he won three or four times, yeah, right away.

Yeah, before I went to like he was like yeah, he was like three for six, I think. Yeah, like yeah, could have kept going, but uh I mean, still he still hits the ball consistently over 300 yards. Like Phil’s he’s kept his oldest oldest major winner better shape, oldest major winner ever. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

For wellness, yeah.

All that for wellness he’s slinging around. Guys, go get us go tag chasing daylight podcast and for wellness’s post and get us a sponsorship for for wellness because I actually like the stuff. I have some downside. I want to try the gummies, yeah. I actually like it. Go say that uh for wellness should sponsor Chase and Daylight Podcast and Liquid Death, go do it.

The pina kiloder is amazing. Great flavor. Yeah, I got it on Amazon. I haven’t seen it in the stores yet, so Mike’s drink. What are you drinking, Mike? What do you got on the what do you got on the tap this evening?

Mine agrees, yeah.

He already told us.

Sorry.

Are you a uh we probably shouldn’t even go into that, but what? I was gonna say you’re a Green Bay Packers fan. You obviously are, right? Oh I didn’t want to I didn’t want to bring it down, but yeah. Yeah, I know you are.

Sorry. Yeah, I was uh raised about 20 minutes from Green Bay, yeah, so it was uh my family’s got it’s yeah, yeah.

Yeah. I grew up a Packers fan because you know my stepdad was Kenosha and you know, but oh yeah, it didn’t hurt me as bad as it probably could be. My best friend from med school is from Kenosha. Yeah, a lot of pride in Kenosha as a city, yeah. Dude, Kenosha’s sick.

I mean, people love Kenosha. Yeah, Kenosha’s fire. Yep.

Is that where Making a Murderer was from?

No, no, that was uh oh boy, it was closer to Millawookie. Uh it was I can’t remember the actual city that’s gonna bother me now. I gotta look it up. Oh that’s I I I was addicted to that. That was a great show.

Oh, dude. Oh my god. I never even showed the second season. I watched that, yeah. Me and my wife watched that first season.

I I totally name that show on my true crime obsession that I have right now. 100%.

Yeah, it was Manitouk, which is kind of a little north in the lake along the lake. Milletwe. Stephen Avery.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Wisconsin doesn’t have a great uh track record with murders and and like bad ones, like Ed Gean, Jeffrey Dahmer, those are all from Wisconsin. Oh yeah, dude. Yeah.

What do you what’s in the cheese? Come on.

Tell you what. Hey, you get constipated enough from that stuff, it makes people go nuts.

Yeah, when it’s like warm, like three months out of the year, right?

Yeah.

Yeah.

That with that winter depression is basically all year. But you know, it’s an all-effective disorder, it’s real. You know what Wisconsin does have? Some fucking killer golf. And in Kenosha, they have a place called the Spot and Great Hamburgers. Oh, yeah. You been there? Hamburgers and milkshakes, yeah. The spot?

Yeah, I went in uh it was one of the years uh went back to Kenosha with my buddy, and we hit the spot. Oh, dude. You just like drive in there and park and they bring it out to you. I gotta get back out there, bro.

I’ve only been there once, but hey, so is the is the big Arctic weather apparel big up in Wisconsin like it is in New York City? Like I see Canada goose everywhere in New York City, and they’re like sixteen hundred dollar jackets. Is it big up there too, or no?

I mean, in Wisconsin, if it’s above like 20 degrees, people they’ve got like a like a quarter zip on. I mean, I mean, seriously, like people I mean, they wear jackets, obviously, but it’s not. I mean, there’s North Face and stuff around, but people don’t wear like those giant mink furs that cost you know $2,500.

Yeah. It blew me away how many people. I mean, you see guys on bikes delivering food that are wearing a sixteen hundred dollar parka. It’s like, good lord.

You know, what Kyle says is so paradoxical or paradoxical. I’m paradoxical paradoxical, yeah. So one of my I’ll put it up, one of my favorite shirts I have was from MKE Airport, Wisconsin, home of cannibal killers and happy days. Dude, happy days.

Oh so Ed Geen is from Plainsfield, it’s a real small town in Wisconsin. And uh when he got when he found him and you know, whatever, his house was filled with like disgusting things, like human-made furniture and stuff. Um, and the feds or some federal thing, they wanted to make like a museum out of it, and the entire city of like you know, whatever, like 300 people basically torched his house. They dumped gasoline on it and burned it down because they didn’t want that in their city. Yeah.

Wow.

Interesting. Yeah, Dahmer was Milwaukee. He was yeah, he was in Milwaukee.

So wasn’t it was John Wayne Gacy up there too? Is this turning in we’re no? Yeah, we’re no longer, yeah.

Ohio, Indiana? Uh I don’t know where he was.

I don’t think he was in Wisconsin. I saw a t-shirt when we were walking the streets in New York and I almost went in and got it. This is great.

Beautiful murder scenes, Mike’s new adventure.

Oh the shirt said, Do I look like a fucking people person? And I said, I said, Oh, that is like Greenley’s like mantra.

100%, yeah. Yeah. Shadow Greeley.

Beautiful, beautiful murder scenes. That’s hilarious.

If you go down a rabbit hole on Instagram, you can probably find something like that. There’s some dark, there’s some dark pages out there.

Some this there’s some dark corners out there, guys.

Oh what you hear a lot now, the stories come from like the 30s and 40s because back then there wasn’t media outlets like there is now. Yeah. You know, where something happens in the street 20 minutes later, the world has seen it. You know, so some of those old stories from the 30s and 40s are like creepy as hell.

There he is. Greenly’s gonna buy the hoodie.

Killing people for like 40 years.

Yeah, just oh man. From golf to murder scenes, we’re on the roll tonight, fellas. Yes. Yeah. Oh, well, I don’t know what we we got the Sony open coming up this weekend. Golf is back. Yeah, my friend Harry Hall is there.

Should have already been back, honestly, but you know.

Um, yeah. Uh Akshay apparently is in the field, but he’s in Florida tonight, so he’s got a nice long flight to get over to is TGL out tonight? Yeah. It’s Tuesday.

No idea. No fucking idea.

Oh, I told you earlier I was listening and watching it. Yeah, I Joe wasn’t paying attention.

Honestly, I’m not very quick on my text messages nowadays because there’s just too much stuff going on. But no, I’ve only been on for like 10 minutes today. Like 10 minutes today. Yeah, on the big dub.

Naughty naughty can’t say. Yeah.

No, shout out all the shout out all the whatnot homies in the chat. Let’s go. Shout out all the whatnot homies in the chat.

I s I sent you a message too, Austin, and you never replied. So I’m I’m I’m a little hurt.

I’m a little hurt. A little sad. A little sad face. It’s not a T time email. Keep up.

Yeah, yeah. Yeah, I’m trying. I’m trying, Bruce.

Yeah, that’s another thing. Jeremy hasn’t. Jeremy finally signed up for the Rhodes Ranch event. Joe hasn’t.

Do uh there’s I mean, yeah. I mean, the world nowadays, I I mean I don’t have a lot. It’s hard for me, and it sucks. You know what I mean? So it’s it’s hard to find time. You know what I mean? Life is hard. Yeah, I know. It’s hard.

No, we gotta, we’re we’re we’re but I’ll probably be there.

I’ll probably be there though.

We’re killing it right now on the season. Uh we have uh I think 40 people already signed up for the first event, so there’s only 22 spots or 32 spots left. Uh approaching 70 people in the league, so it’s getting there, it’s getting there. But in I don’t know if uh Dan for you for mentioning that. Uh hey, hey, hey. TNT did not say that way. I said don’t say that.

She said Joe was on whatnot. I wasn’t on whatnot.

I’m you were on whatnot for 10 minutes. He said that means you were on for 10 minutes. I saw you commenting on Take Fi’s show.

Yeah. And uh honestly, we’re looking for shout outs for Chase the Daylight Podcast. So shout out Chase the Daylight Podcast and all your shows. Tell them to tune in on Tuesday nights. That’s what we’re here for. I do have more stuff coming.

Um, so but uh I I will not be participating in the first four months, four events of the year.

Yeah, because your knee is about to be repp up.

I I got the confirmation. Uh February 11th is my surgery date. So I’m uh you know getting some uh some new new joints thrown in the knee, full knee replacement.

Yeah, it’s crazy. You’re gonna do great, dude. You’re doing the right thing, you’re gonna do great.

Yeah, that’s you know, that’s what I’m thinking. That’s what I’m thinking. The guy that commented earlier.

Let me try and find this comment. Go ahead. You can talk. I’ll try and throw it up off my desk.

Okay. Uh, you know, I had the ankle surgery, and that was a huge success, and I’ve been really grateful that it didn’t hurt to walk on my ankle anymore. Had the menisca surgery at the end of 2024. Can’t say last year anymore because it’s now 2026, but uh, and you know, the right knee is fantastic, but the left knee, mmm, left knee has not been good. And yep, so uh had an option to do some injections for the rest of my life or get uh a new knee. So I went the new knee route.

Yeah, screw injections, those things suck.

I will be down for three months, three months of no golf. I’ll be able to chip and putt after a month, but uh yeah, the first month. You’re gonna be fiending.

You’re gonna be fiending so hard.

Uh well, and I’m gonna be as soon as I’m mobile, I’m gonna be working because it’s you know the biggest, craziest time of the year, and you know, I can’t leave the team just stranded. So Julian’s like, you drive, I’ll unload, you sit and fit.

So I mean you’re gonna be mobile immediately after surgery, Matt. It’ll just be painful. Yeah, that’s like same day you’ll be standing.

Yeah, they said you can walk out, but it just it hurts.

It’s yeah, it’s gonna be sore for a bit. But eventually you’ll you’ll be happy. Be happy to get it.

That’s the goal. Three months is two and a half weeks before we leave for landman. So I’ll have two and a half weeks to get my game in shape. My short game will be fire, though. I’ll be soul golfing at Landman.

Let’s go, soul golfing.

Ask me if I could take a uh an extra cart just for me.

Uh Matt, that’s kind of what I did uh this past year when I had my back surgery. The first really the first significant amount of golf I played was um at um out in Nebraska at um Dismal River.

Shout out Dismal River.

But it was fantastic, you know. It it something to look forward to. You know, you’ll work hard in rehab, just think about that trip and you’ll you’ll do well and you’ll have fun.

So shout out rips and chips in the house. Shout out rips and chips.

Yeah, totally worth it in the long run. That’s what I’m hoping for. Because right now, you know, I’m I’m at an eight out of ten in the on the pain scale every single day, and it sucks. It sucks sleeping, it sucks walking. Um, it’s just you can’t get comfortable anywhere. There’s it’s bad that cyst that’s developed on the back of my leg. It’s like sometimes it’s big, and I you know, I ice it a lot to help. Um, but man, it’s just it is not fun.

Yeah, I I mean I feel you, but uh the comment I was looking for was um one of the golfenstein, whatever, he said the guy in the top left corner looks 67, and uh no joke. Um yeah, I mean I’m glad you’re handling it, and I’m I’m stoked that you’re you’re planning it out correctly because landman is very special, and uh I can’t wait to experience that again with you, Jeremy and Dan. And uh Mike, you’ve never been to Landman, right? Have you been there yet? You need to go. No, and I’d be curious of your thoughts. Like Land. I mean, Dismal has three courses, right? Two. Two. And I’d be curious on your thoughts on the experience because it it fits my vibe to the T. And it’s it’s it’s right there with Bandon for me. You know what I mean?

Like can’t do that.

I it’s hard, it’s hard. It’s it’s not you know, it’s not banded, right? Because there’s bandon has the full experience, but like Landman the golf course is massive. Sick. Dude, Cliff in the house. Shout out, Cliff. He came to Landman with us. Landman is is very special, it’s very, very special, and it’s hard to put courses up against each other, but you need to get to Landman, Mike. I pr I promise you you will absolutely love it.

So, Joe, I’ve got a question for you. Yeah, if landman didn’t only sell their tea times, you know, in bulk and sell out the year, do you think it would have as much hype as it has now? Or is that just some fantastic creative marketing?

I don’t think it’s I don’t think it’s that. Build up hype. You don’t think that’s no, I don’t think that’s it.

I mean, there’s certainly hype behind it though.

Oh, yeah.

Well, it will based on how they do it. Absolutely.

Yeah, it’s like we sold out in five, ten minutes. But Bandon, you have to fucking be on a wait list and hopefully get in or sign up for the lottery.

But but Bandon’s been around for 20 years and it wasn’t like that the first three years it was in existence.

So you don’t you don’t think what are you saying?

I’m just curious if you think that the hype around Landman has a lot to do with their creative marketing on how they sell their tea times.

No, I think I think people that love golf will find good golf, and that’s the hype.

I guess the other way to ask the question is do you think landman’s tea times would be completely sold out if they didn’t sell them at one time? Like, would they have all of their sheets filled, regardless of how they you know, if they didn’t have a if they didn’t have a big bash where they sold them all at once, would they still fill every tea time?

I mean, potentially. It’s not a huge, like there’s not a huge metropolis in the area, and it’s not easy to get to. Well, it’s it’s kind of easy for us because there’s direct flights. So it is easier than Bandon. So it’s like, yeah, I could see that happening. Like people in Chicago be like, hey, let’s we can go fly down to Omaha probably and go play. So I think it’s possible that it could sell out pretty quickly. Um, you know, I mean, in in respects to what King Collins also did at Sweetens, like they sell out in a year or two, or in 10 minutes, and that’s nine holes. Because that’s wild. Because the golf is fun and it they created an experience, and landman is the same way, it’s very fun, and uh there’s an experience there, and you’re not gonna find that at other places, right? Like in Nebraska, in the sand hills, you have to be a member, or you gotta find a way on the golf course. Speaking of sand hills or prairie dunes, prairie dunes does the same thing too, and I would rather go to Landman all day. Prairie dunes just released their 2026 tea times today, I think, or yesterday. I would rather go play Landman and you know the Prairie Club, Prairie Club, yeah. Um, and they have two courses, but I’d rather play Landman twice than play both courses at Prairie Club. Granted, I do love the Dunes course. The Dunes course is so sick. I think what Landman does correctly is the experience and the vibe, and but that fits me, right? Like I was wearing a t-shirt on a golf course, and there was a food truck, which I love food trucks, and um the stuff in the pro shop is like oh, and everything was running out because we were there at the end of the season, and I there was one thing I really wanted, it wasn’t there. I just think it just fits the like for private clubs, the exclusiveness, you know what I mean? Like, if I got to play Sandhills, I’d be so stoked because of the exclusiveness. It’s Landman is public, but it’s exclusive because it’s hard to get on to, so it’s kind of it’s a dichotomy, if you will.

But I think it creates I think it creates mystique, like the way that they do the T times, but for the people that once you’ve gone, you want to go back, and that’s this that’s how I feel about it. I would love to go every year, and I I would be curious how many people are return players at Landman. I I would say it’s a pretty huge percentage.

I would I would agree, and that’s the thing with Bandon too. Like Bandon is I want to go back every chance I get, I want to go back to Landman every time I get an opportunity. So it’s one of those things, and it’s like I could go there, I could go to this place, I could, you know, but landman, it it’s just a it’s a special, it’s just special, and I don’t know how to explain it, but it’s special, you know what I mean? And Jeremy says it’s his favorite golf course he’s ever played. That’s how I described Ismal.

Exactly what you already said, yeah.

Yeah, runs. Runzes. Shout out the Runses.

Well, the one story you guys told about Landman is where you guys finished at like two and there was nobody on the course, and you like went in to try and get on again.

Yeah, that’s one issue I don’t like.

Yeah, if you’re on property, I I get it. Like, they’re not gonna let someone call and be like, hey, can we jump on? But like you’re on property, you already did the whole rigmarole of getting your tea times. That just seems a little weak. That doesn’t seem to go with the t-shirt vibe, you know what I mean?

Yeah, I get that, but it’s also, I mean, we have to think of it as a business as well, right?

Like, well, you guys are ready to pull out your credit cards, yeah.

Right.

I mean, you would have paid. Yeah, that’s the business decision. The business decision there is these guys are gonna pay for more golf. Like, let’s let them do it.

I think if you’re staying on property at Landman, I think they could fix it this way. If you’re staying on property at Landman, you should be given free reign for replays, or you know, you’re gonna you take your cart anyway.

That’s how dismal is you basically pay for you pay for days of golf and you just play as much as you want.

I don’t think they care.

Yeah, I don’t think they I don’t think they do either.

Well, clearly they don’t, like they said no, and it’s less maintenance, it’s less staffing, it’s less play on a golf course that you know is well and it’s gonna drive you to come back, right?

I think it’s a I think it’s a staffing issue, and you also have to remember, I mean, Dismal is what three years old, four, four, five years old? No, it’s older than that.

So their first course, the the red course there, I think maybe ten, and then they had like four years where they like were not running, I think, and then they brought back with the white well. I mean, it’s it’s not that old.

Yeah, I think landman is like four years old. Yeah, they’re gonna figure it out, they’re gonna figure out the right way to do it, they’re building more, they’re building the putting course by the lodges or the houses or whatever you want to call them. I landman needs a bit more, and uh it’s gonna happen.

So they just have one course there right now, one course. Okay, who designed it? Nebraska King Collins, King Collins. Oh, King Collins. Okay, he’s a he’s a buzz name right now, or they, I guess.

Yeah, yeah. Big buzz name, big buzz name. And I they’re gonna build a putting course, and honestly, if they just had they just needed something else, which is coming supposedly next year. They have one more thing.

Well, I I spoke with a member at Summit over the weekend, and he said that the second course is already in the works.

Yeah, I mean, and they have a ton of land.

I mean, they so the exp they’ve got a third course at Dismo routed, too. They just don’t have they’re not digging yet. I don’t know if they’re gonna do it soon, but place is blowing up.

There’s so much land out there.

Oh, it’s it’s like with how you were describing landmen before, Joe. That’s how just the sand hills are it’s just different golf. Yeah, it’s just different, it’s hard to explain. It’s it’s a feeling of like being in the middle of middle of nowhere, no reception on your phone, you don’t touch your phone the entire round. The only thing you’re doing is playing golf and having a good time with your buddies. Like it’s there are no houses around, it’s just it’s different, it’s quiet, it’s uh it’s so cool.

The bugs suck 100.

The bugs are terrible. I got eight alive, but it when did you guys go? Because the bugs when I was there, they weren’t bad September first August. It’s like when we were out.

August end of August. Hmm.

Yeah, I so it’s I’m I remember when Cliff, when we were planning the trip to Nebraska, and Cliff uh and he fit he he got me hooked right there. So I was like, I don’t know if I can play the extra two, three days because the kids are in school, blah blah blah. And it said, uh, Cliff, if you can help me out, I I’m gonna try and remember. It was um, it’s not the destination, it’s the journey. And that hooked me automatically, right? Because it’s like it’s a story to tell, and it’s to get there is hard. No, but it’s like I I almost missed out on Prairie Club, which is fantastic as well. It’s it’s time spent with your buddies, your homies, and uh I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Golf trips are the best.

That’s why I’m that’s why I’m going back with you guys.

Yeah, I didn’t want to miss out.

Fear of missing out.

Exactly. Speaking of that, I got chosen again to book band. Oh yeah. So we booked band in January 2027, and now I have a June through October.

Yeah, which we’re also going at the end of January too, supposedly.

Yeah. So, but I’m 2800 in line to book, so yeah, it’s gonna take a while for me to get a phone call, but I need to decide if I’m gonna go twice in 2027.

Yeah, we need Sand Valley, is what we need. We need Sand Valley, yeah. Yeah, they’re trying to figure out if I can sell my hotels that I want to go to. I was looking at selling my uh laptop today to try and go.

Go where?

On the trip. I’m kidding. It was a joke, guys. Come on. Terrible. It was terrible. Yeah, January’s gonna be way cheaper, but we gotta also get to Sand Valley. We gotta get to fucking um Gamble Sands.

Gamble Sands looks I mean, they’ve done a lot of a lot of stuff to that place in the last five years. It looks very good.

I can’t I can’t wait to see what happens to like the town that’s near Campbell because it’s so tiny and well not tiny, but it’s small. But with having you know two courses and a short course now, and potentially another course coming, uh I mean, wow. Do some some really great things in a small little environment like that.

Yeah. That’s not a super easy place to get to either.

No, no, actually, whenever I post Gamble, half the people are like, it’s so annoying to get there, it’s in the middle of nowhere. It’s like that’s why it’s awesome. Like exactly, that’s exactly right. Like you hit it right on the head there. Like, if that’s not your thing, then I guess so. But I think Brewster, is it Brewster, the town right next to it? Brewster, Washington. Yeah, Brewster, yeah. Yeah, it’s it’s like a thousand people or something. That’s the thing, though. The journey is the destination.

Yeah, it’s a hundred dollar flight from here to Spokane and a three-hour car ride. That is not bad at all.

So easy. Yeah, it’s it’s similar to the Bandon trip, but yeah, I’m right there with you, Cliff. Yeah, it’s up there. A scarecrow looks insane, dude. Insane. Scarecrow looks nuts. They got two courses and a short course and a huge putting green.

You guys have you guys thought about going to Big Cedar?

Yes, all every day. Every day. Yeah, about taking the families too.

Yeah, yeah, they’re fun to do there. I mean, yeah, like they have like kids programming, like they have a ton of stuff.

That’s what I want to do. I want to plan like two weeks, right? Like a two-week window. Everybody comes, you know, you bring your family, and then you play golf when you can, and you do the family thing when you can, and everybody just like normal life, you know, like, oh, I can play Thursday because we’re live in Missouri for two weeks. Yeah, just yeah, exactly.

I would love to do that. Apparently, there’s a train that goes from I think it’s it’s either Kansas City or St. Louis, but it goes to Branson. It’s like a I don’t know, it’s like a boutique little like passenger train that goes back and forth once a day or something. We were looking into it last year. Because that’s another place that’s not that easy to get to. Yeah.

What really sucks about all this is there’s too many dope ass golf courses to play. And it’s like you gotta pick and choose, man. It’s there’s so much out there, and it’s like just to check one off is a accomplishment, you know. I want to play them all, not gonna happen, but you know. And some are getting harder to play than others, you know.

Yeah, I was talking to someone the other day, and I think I posted something about it too. But like uh, you know, I talked to my dad, like he’d go on buddies trips when he was younger, and you know, it was basically just like the Florida or Arizona trip where you like the novelty of the trip was just getting away and going and playing in like warm weather. But now all of these new destinations are it’s way more than that, you know what I mean? It’s like every you know, Sand Valley, um, Gam Gamble Sands, um, Bandon, all these places are like super unique. You know, it’s not just to get away anymore. It’s like I wanted to have it like a one in once in a lifetime golf experience.

It’s an experience.

It’s it’s it’s a lot different now, you know.

Yeah, golf changed too I think it’s changed into an experience, which is You know, we’re part of the experience culture now. Like and you got places opening up like uh uh Rodeo Dunes, which I saw Core Crenshaw posted today. Like, that’s a wrap. So Core Crenshaw is out of there, it’s done, and there’s more room for them to build more courses, which is expected, but things are happening all over the place. It’s experiential golf, if you will.

I will something else that’s happening. Let me bring it up. Boom! The Vegas Golf Network season is about to start. Next month, a little infograph that I had uh the the Google AI build for us. Uh it’s got all the events on the schedule there. You can find it on our Instagram page. If you want to play some tournament golf in Las Vegas, this is where you need to be. Uh go to the VegasGolfnetwork.com website, check it out. I will be the one that answers any emails or communications. So if you have any questions about it, thank you. Uh Nori’s joined. Uh Jordy, are you gonna you gonna pull the trigger? What’s going on?

Yeah, Jordy’s gonna come. I was also talking to other a couple other guys on whatnot the other day. They’re in Vegas, T Thiel and 808, Ray 808. They’re in town. And they had heard they I I know Ray had heard about VGN. I told him I was one of the original members. He’s thinking about he’s thought about joining. Um, if you guys are listening, yes. Hit me up. I’ll sell it to you if I I need to sell it to you, but I don’t because it’s awesome. So uh yeah, sign up. First uh, first one coming up.

The day 221. Oops, sorry, Joe.

The day after the goes on time out, the birdie gang and uh Grunk Dolpher uh thing happened in Vegas. And uh anyone in Vegas should sign up 100%.

How many people we have in the giveaway right now? 22 entries. That’s a good amount of entries.

Jordi, do it right now. Jordi, go to VegasGolfnetwork.com and do it. Loser.

Coyote Springs is a very difficult golf course. Don’t let Coyote Springs be a deciding factor.

Yeah, I was just gonna talk about that. Uh, did you get I know some of you guys? Oh, yeah, the Bob does sports thing. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Coyote Springs kicked the teeth absolutely entertaining. All they kept saying was how fast the greens were.

It looked like incredibly difficult golfing, it was it was fun to watch. Not lie on that place.

No, it was it was fun to watch. Because I mean neither of those guys are good golfers, but it was fun to watch. I typically don’t watch Bob Does Sports.

James, I handed those out at the board meeting. But if you need more, I have some.

Board meeting. I typically don’t watch Bob Does Sports, but um that was a good one because it was Coyote Springs. I had to watch, right? And I’m gonna have to watch now. I can’t remember. The Schmoe, if you want to call him that, dude, played it perfectly, dude. Oh, he got into Joey’s head 100%, dude.

Oh, it was it was good. It was really good. And they were trying to play him off like he was such a such a like I didn’t think he was that bad. I thought Joey kind of looked worse than he did from like a personality standpoint. Yeah, he got in Joe’s head early and it was awesome.

Yeah, it was it was it was actually really good, and um yeah, great, great, great, great course if you come to Vegas, Coyote Springs. I’m hoping the tea times don’t go up in value uh because of that, but uh they will. I know, I know. But uh great golf course, and it was a good episode.

How far is it from Vegas to Coyote Springs? I I came from the other direction from Mesquite when I played there. I don’t remember how far an hour for me.

Hour for me.

About an hour, okay.

Yeah, it’s like an hour 20 for me up in the hills. Yeah. But Paiute’s an hour from my driveway to backdrop. So really depending on the time of the day.

Yeah. Yeah.

In the morning, I can get out there in 45-50 minutes, but Jordi, that’ll happen out there for sure.

It’s it’s not an easy golf course.

I had 44 putts the first time I played Coyote.

Yeah.

And if the wind’s howling, you’re fucked anyway. You’re you’re just fucked.

Yeah.

Dude, so bad.

All right.

Who’s it gonna be? Chat, get in the chat.

Juju Juju left a comment. He did. Juju, you’re still here.

Oh, he’s working a top golf event right now.

He’s probably not here.

Probably not here. Oh, Julian. Well.

I know Cliff’s here. Cliff. Come on, Cliff.

Are you still here? Are you still hanging?

Honestly, one of our biggest supporters, and he was on the landman trip. Shout out Cliff. G. He’s an absolute G.

You know what? You know what? How about this? Because he is a CDP premium subscriber. Oh, he doesn’t have to be present.

Oh I like that. Oh, he’s here anyway. He’s here, he’s here. No, you’re here. You got it, Cliff. He said, give it to Juju.

Give it to Juju. What a guy. Expect nothing less, right? Yeah, that’s Cliff.

What a guy.

Expect what a guy cliffs the cliffs. Cliff, it’s yours if you want it, but I know you you’re you’re a coffee snob like me, so you may have your own. Yeah, you don’t gotta drink coffee out of certain cups. So, but uh, so if you don’t want it, I will give it to Juju.

Wait, is that a thing? Like you don’t drink coffee out of certain cups?

I only drink my coffee out of my master’s mug. I would not know.

Well, that’s that’s that’s not a coffee thing. That’s a that’s a matte golf thing.

Yeah, it’s it’s a it’s it’s a master’s mug.

How many days told the masters? A couple months far away. Yeah.

I had to send my boss a reminder today. I go, hey, did you just schedule a fitting for Master Sunday?

And and there’s a what are you doing?

There’s nothing, and then there’s three dots, and he goes, Not anymore.

Cliff said he’s not that much of a snob. Cliff’s the biggest uh coffee snob I know for sure, though.

So uh Mike Cliff bought a grinder and his own beans on the landman trip.

Yeah, and we he made me coffee in the room in Super Six Hotel. Yeah, that was some good coffee. That’s uh that’s dedication to the game right there.

Wow.

Yeah, that’s impressive.

I look up to him for that because yes, the coffee he has, not the cup. Alright, so um I think that’ll do it for this episode. I think that’ll do it for this episode. You got anything else you want to get off your chest?

Call it out because there is an after episode, too, guys, if you’re on Chase Daylight Premium.

Mike, you gonna stick around for the after show?

Yeah, I’ll hang out.

Alright. Still rocking the sun cruisers from whatnot, by the way. Did Joe say whatnot yet? Has he said it? I did he did.

I did.

Oh, he did?

Okay. He broke the seal. He said it like three times.

Oh, let’s we need to talk about shout out all the homies from whatnot. Kyle, uh Bruce keeping it, and we gotta talk about uh Jeremy’s gallery trip real quick.

Oh yeah, please. God, my goodness.

First time I’ve ever been, we were down there. We were actually staying in Orange County, but we drove down just to visit Scotty Cameron. When you go there, you check in with security because they put you on a wait list because it’s tiny, so you have to wait till they call your name, and then you go in, and I was completely overwhelmed. I didn’t know what to do.

Which is kind of crazy. That’s your that was your first trip.

That was my first time going, yeah.

Huge, huge, huge, huge Scotty Cameron fan. Like, and that’s your first time there, and you’re only four and a half hours away.

Yeah, he’s done that. So I know I’m gonna be going down there every time now, but so in order to buy a circle tea in the shop, you have to buy a regular putter there, and that qualifies you to buy a circle tea in the shop, which you have to buy basically, you gotta buy a custom shop putter, the normal one, like six-seven hundred bucks, and then you can buy a circle tee after a year. After a year, which was interesting.

Well, at least you know you’re getting one that’s authentic.

Dude, and they were sick, they were very sick, but yeah, it was cool. I mean, couple head covers. I don’t know. I mean, if I know these sell like hotcakes on and whatnot, but are you gonna game those or are you gonna shelf them? I’m gaming and I’m gonna go get more next time we’re down there, but it was I didn’t even know what the I was kind of bummed.

I didn’t see your your text until an hour later, and I was like, hey, grab me some stuff.

From the time you got there to the time that you actually got into and got like how long was it?

It’s like 20 minutes, right? Um, it was it was 30 minutes, yeah. Oh, that’s not bad. So I mean it’s it’s like you would miss it. It’s right, it’s on the main street in the shop right next to it, too. Oh, there’s like a donut shop that’s just like in a little little shopping area on the main street, so it’s it’s easy to miss. There’s just a sign in the front, but there was a bunch of people waiting. A couple guys had their putters there to drop off for custom shop, and it was awesome. Yeah, I’ll be back for sure.

But was there a limit to how much you could buy?

Uh no, it was there was a limit for me because it was Joy’s birthday. I wasn’t gonna go ham on her birthday.

But if you went in there and wanted to buy 40 towels, you could.

Oh, yeah. There was a guy in there that probably spent 10 grand on several tea covers, off tour truck short, yeah.

Really short? Nope. I thought about that. I’m like, I wonder if any of these guys are not one of them.

Yeah.

Yeah.

But it was sick. I’ll definitely be back. And if you’re in town, if you’re in Incinitas or San Diego, it’s worth going there just to check it out.

Yeah, it makes that worth that, and then also there’s great tacos around. So double win. Uh my boy Mike Bush in the house just had a baby boy today. Congrats to the Bushies. Um way to go. Big homie, big homie for life. And Bush, um, congrats to you and Miss Bush.

Ty the shoe guy is their doorman.

Ty the shoe guy buys all the really dope Scotty stuff and whatnot. So yeah.
